Mariners are advised that a UXO and Archaeology marine geophysical survey is planned for the Eastern Green Link 3 (EGL 3) project. The marine survey activities for EGL 3 are planned to commence on the 17th June 2026 in English waters working north and are expected to complete around the end of October 2026 in Scottish waters.
The survey equipment will consist of MBES, SSS, USBL, Mag, ROTV and UXO surrogate testing which will be placed on the seabed a maximum of three times in the nearshore area for equipment verification tests.
SSEN Transmission and National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) are working together to address the need for increased capacity within the transmission network between Scotland and England. EGL3 will help provide increased capacity, carrying up to 2 GW of electricity, enough for two million homes. This will be achieved through a High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) cable connection between Aberdeenshire and Lincolnshire.
The EGL 3 UXO marine survey works are being carried out by GeoXYZ Limited.

The nearshore vessels Titan Discovery and Titan Endeavour will shift from 12-hour to 24-hour survey operations; the guard vessel Seiont-A will shift from 12-hour to 24-hour operations. No other material change to the work is planned to date.

See detailed map on our bulletin websiteMariners are advised that Berwick Bank Wind Farm Limited (BBWFL) will be undertaking a kelp survey of the nearshore area surrounding Berwick Bank Wind Farm’s export cable corridor landfall at Skateraw Harbour, East Lothian.
Overview
The survey will be within the export cable route and wider seaweed management area. It should be noted that BBWFL are not requesting fishermen to relocate gear - on this occasion the vessel will work around any gear on location. The survey work is being undertaken by ABPmer and will be conducted from the Princess Royal.
Survey Duration
The survey is planned to be undertaken within the period 28 September to 4 October 2026, subject to weather and operational constraints. Survey operations are expected to require up to three days within this period. BBWFL would like to extend this notices' validity to 31 October 2026 to account for any delay. BBWFL will send a further notice to confirm completion of the survey.  
Survey Tasks
During the survey campaign, the vessel will deploy an underwater drop down video/camera to gather data on the extent and distribution of kelp. No towed gear operations will be undertaken. The vessel will be generally unrestricted in its movements and will adhere to normal navigation protocol. The survey area is defined by the following WGS84 coordinates in Table 1.

See detailed map on our bulletin websitePlease be advised that Seiche Limited will perform a Service on 12 Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) Stations that have been deployed on the seabed in and at locations around the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm Area, servicing locations are identified in section 2.1 of this document. Works are expected to commence circa 04-09-2026. Seiche will utilise the vessel ‘BB Ocean’ for servicing, deployment and recovery works.
Service of the 12 Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) Stations that have been deployed on the seabed in and at locations around the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm Area, including the two PAM Stations with surface buoys.
The PAM stations will remain on the seabed until approximately the 31st of October 2027. Currently, all but two PAM stations have a 12 m height above the seabed, weighing up to 600 kg and their location is not marked by a surface buoy. Two moorings have been deployed with large buoys at the surface and anchored to the seabed by two 2 tonne anchor mooring weights.
Completion of servicing works and deployment positions will be notified via future Notice to Mariners.
There is an exclusion zone of 250 m around each PAM station, all marine traffic is advised to maintain the 250 m safety zone.

Major component repairs are to be carried out on Beatrice Windfarm involving the use of a Self-propelled Jack up vessel (Wind Peak) will be undertaken from the 1st of October lasting for approximately 20 days. The vessel will operate at two assets on the Beatrice Windfarm replacing the main bearings on WTG BE-K06 and WTG BE-L08.
The Jack-up vessel Wind peak will carry out the replacement of the main bearings on two assets within the Beatrice Windfarm, these locations will be at WTG BE-K06 and WTG BE-L08.
This work will start on the 1st of Ocober 2026 and will be complete by the 20th of October.

All mariners and stakeholders are advised that a Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) mooring array for the purpose of monitoring marine mammals’ detections is currently deployed along the east coast of Scotland, within 2 km of the coast, between St Andrews Bay and Inverbervie.The PAM array will remain in situ for 2 years (i.e. up to August 2027) with a service interval every 3 months. The moorings will not be surface marked as the top of the mooring extends approximately 4-7m above the seabed. A servicing campaign was completed on 11 September.
A separate mooring assembly remains in place at St Andrews Bay with a temporary surface marker buoy. This was deemed as a dropped object in previous NTM, as the marker buoy could no longer be located. This has been now confirmed to remain in place, to be recovered in the following days.

The survey end date has been extended following a delay with progress during July. These dates are subject to weather and sea conditions.
Mariners are requested to observe a safe working distance of 1000m when the Ramform Vanguard is performing towed survey activities at Awel y Môr Offshore Wind Farm. It is also requested that mariners observe a distance of at least 500m when Ramform Vanguard is manoeuvring into position for the safety of all sea users operating within the wind farm, and to ensure Ramform Vanguard can safely position itself without negative interactions with sea users or their equipment. The towed equipment extends approximately 350m behind the stern.

During operations,all vessels will be restricted in their ability to manoeuvre as defined under COLREGs (International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972) and will display the appropriate day shapes and lights. An emergency submarine fibre optic telecommunications cable repair in North Atlantic, between the Shetland and Orkney Islands on Havfrue system using CS Sovereign.
Please be aware that Global Marine has been commissioned to undertake an emergency repair on this cable in the North Atlantic between the Shetland and Orkney Islands using the CS Sovereign.
The estimated repair location is 59° 49.0232'N, 02° 58.4468'W.
The repair vessel CS Sovereign is due to arrive on site on the 28th of August. The estimated duration of the repair will be 7-10 days depending on weather and other operational conditions. A further notification will be issued to all parties once the repair is complete.
Please distribute this information accordingly so that other sea users are aware. The vessel will be limited in maneuverability and displaying shapes as per COLREGs. Other vessels should maintain a distance of at least 1NM from the cable ship during operations, and 1/4NM from any cable buoys in place during the course of the repair for safety.

All the collected data provides the project with the best understanding on the marine environment to inform a Marine Environmental Assessment to be completed prior to cable installation.
SSEN Transmission plan to commence the marine survey on the 21/09/2026 however the earliest start date maybe 18/09/2026. The survey equipment will be deployed on a survey ROV and will consist of Multi Beam Echo Sounder (MBES), Side Scan Sonar (SSS), Sub-Bottom Profiler (SBP), Magnetometer, that will likely be no further inshore than 15m LAT. The survey equipment will also require calibration testing, which may be conducted outwith the survey corridor.The offshore survey works are being carried out by Reach Subsea UK Ltd. They are expected to be complete all survey works by end of October 2026, weather dependent.
General Safety AdviceThe vessel will be restricted in ability to manoeuvre at all times and will display the appropriate lights and shapes prescribed by the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. Other vessels are requested to provide a minimum clearance of 500m from the survey vessels during marine operations and pass at a safe speed. Regular Security Messages will be issued on VHF Channel 16 and this Channel will be always monitored by the vessel. The vessels will also transmit regular Automatic Transmission Identification System (AIS) Messages.

The Multipurpose Vessel “TSM Bergen” will remove Out of Service (redundant) Infield Cables from the seabed within the wind farm array site, on / or around the 12th September 2026, for approximately 10 days, weather and work progress depending. Mariners are also advised that on or around 18th September 2026, the MS Trym shall be undertaking Out of Service Cable Removal Works at the Vanguard Offshore Wind Farm export cable route, for approximately 10 days, weather and work progress depending.
Works involve towed equipment between a length of 100m and 250m behind the vessel and this will restrict the vessel’s ability to manoeuvre. It is requested that all vessels operating nearby maintain a safe distance (at least 500m) and pass at minimum speed. All fishing activity should remain outside of the export cable corridor boundaries until further notice.
Vessels will maintain a listening watch on VHF Channels 12 and 16 and will actively transmit an AIS signal. The vessel will comply with the International Rules for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea (COLREGS) at all times. Displaying the prescribed shapes and lights when the vessel is restricted in its ability to manoeuvre.

An eight legged jacket with 8 driven pin piles has been installed as a foundation for the OCP followed by the OCP itself.
The Sofia Offshore Wind Farm Boundary Co-ordinates where the works will take place are provided below. All non-project vessels are requested to remain outside this area.
Mariners are requested to remain where possible 500m from vessels. During these works, SOVs will have restricted manoeuvrability and shall also be exhibiting the correct day shapes/ lights and flag for vessels engaged in diving operations and restricted in ability to manoeuvre.
Emergency Response & Rescue Vessel
The EERV Glomar Baltic is supporting the commissioning phase of the Offshore Converter Platform, providing close standby cover as required during overside works.
Service Operation Vessels
The Service Operations Vessel (SOV) “Purus Power” & Daughter craft “Purus Transporter” continues to support the SOWF project throughout the construction of the offshore windfarm.
SOV's Acta Gemini' and 'Austri Enabler' continues operations within the Sofia Array.
SOVs shall be transiting to / from the Sofia Array and the port of Blyth / Sunderland throughout this period.
Crew Transfer Vessel
The Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) Seazip 9 and MHO Gurli continue operations at the Sofia OWF.
All Mariners are advised to always give a wide berth of approx. 500m metres from the above vessels. The vessels shall be exhibiting the correct day signals / night lights for the operations as defined by COLREGS and can be contacted on VHF 16 for further information as required reference proximity / nearby operations etc.

Mariners are advised of Seabed Met-Ocean Buoy Moorings that remain in place at SOWF (Excluding Buoy) and are yet to be recovered. Note: these locations are to be avoided by at least 200m.
Vessels shall be monitoring channel VHF 16 and shall be displaying the relevant day shapes / night lights when restricted in its ability to manoeuvre.
Mariners are requested to refrain from entering and transiting through the construction area as demarcated by these demarcation buoys.

Mariners are advised that the Olympic Electra has commenced a boulder clearance campaign within the Vanguard West (VGW) Array and the Vanguard West Export Cable Corridor. Works are expected to last for approximately 3 calendar months.

The Morecambe Offshore Wind Farm Development onshore export cable is planned to cross the River Ribble approximately 2 km west of Preston on its route from landfall near Blackpool Airport to the National Grid substation at Penwortham.
Please be advised that a geotechnical and geophysical survey (to include an unexploded ordinance (UXO) identification survey) is due to be undertaken.
The geophysical and geotechnical survey will be undertaken across the River Ribble cable crossing site to provide an overview of ground conditions near surface and at depth across the site (Figure 1). Geophysical surveys will be also conducted to search for any UXO to reduce the risk of encountering UXO during geotechnical investigations.
The survey will consist of a Phase 1 overwater Geophysical survey 16th/17th through to 21st September 2026, which will include a multibeam echosounder bathymetric survey, high resolution dual frequency side scan sonar, high resolution magnetometer survey and ET 3400 OTS Lite sub-bottom profiler (SBP). These works will be conducted from the “Validus”, a 7m Aluminium Catamaran.
The results of these surveys will be used to support the acquisition of 2x ~55m Geotechnical boreholes.Phase 2, once we have ensured the risk of UXOs is as low as reasonably practicable, an over-water intrusive ground investigation will be undertaken from a Jack-up platform (either the “Shearwater” or the “Sandpiper”) to obtain geological, geotechnical and geoenvironmental in-formation required for engineering design. This will be done through the delivery of two Geotechnical boreholes during the month of October 2026.

Waterford. The survey campaign will involve the deployment of hull mounted and towed geophysical sensors such as Multi Beam Echosounder (MBES), sub-bottom profiler (SBP), Side Scan Sonar (SSS) and Magnetometer as well as a multi-streamer 3D seismic array from the survey vessel.
The survey will be conducted by the survey vessel Ramform Vanguard” (Callsign: C6JF5).
As the survey vessel will be restricted in its ability to manoeuvre when surveying, due to the deployment of the towed survey equipment from the vessel for the duration of the survey activities, other vessels are kindly requested to keep a wide berth. The marine survey activities for EGL 3 are planned to commence on the 22nd June 2026 in English waters and are expected to complete around the end of September 2026.
The survey equipment will consist of MBES, SSS, USBL, Mag, ROTV and UXO surrogate which will be placed on the seabed a maximum of three times in the nearshore area for equipment verification tests.
SSEN Transmission and National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) are working together to address the need for increased capacity within the transmission network between Scotland and England. EGL3 will help provide increased capacity, carrying up to 2 GW of electricity, enough for two million homes.
This will be achieved through a High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) cable connection between Aberdeenshire and Lincolnshire.

Geophysical surveys at Moray East Wind Farm Please be advised that Moray Offshore Windfarm (East) Limited (Moray East) are planning to undertake a geophysical survey around 8 WTGs (K16, K17, G21, L09, C15, D13, G18, C13). Survey operations will be carried out by the Unmanned Surface Vessel: X-17 (vessel specs in Table 2), which is expected to arrive at site on 10/09/2026, subject to weather. The X-17 will be escorted by a support vessel, the Seacat (vessel specs in Table 3)
The geophysical survey scope is a Multibeam Echosounder (MBES) survey, completing a 400m x 400m box around the WTGs (locations below in Table 1).
General Safety Advice
Please be aware that, during the survey activities, by virtue of its mode of operation the vessel X-17 (Unmanned Surface Vessel) will be Restricted in her Ability to Manoeuvre (RAM) as defined under COLREGs (International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972, Rule 3). Masters of vessels are therefore requested to maintain their vessels and gears at a minimum safe passing distance from the vessel of 500 metres when it is undertaking work and showing the appropriate shapes and lights in accordance with COLREGs Rule 27.
In order to not compromise the safety of the Survey Vessel, their crew, and their ability to undertake its contracted works, fishermen who have static fishing gears deployed within 500 m from the WTG where survey activities are planned (see Table 1) are requested to provide the coordinates of such deployed gears in DMS and details of whether the surface markers used are visible at all states of visibility to Alex Winrow-Griffin (Brown & May Marine) using the contact information below (Section 58 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995).

Daniel Bernoulli will start operations on 30th of Auhust 2026 and will perform rock placement during multiple loadouts, finishing her scope around 10th of October 2026. Work will be continuous, 24 hours a day.
During operations, Daniel Bernoulli will be restricted in their ability to manoeuvre, as defined under COLREGs (International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972) and will display the appropriate day shapes and lights. The vessel will also transmit an Automatic Identification System (AIS) message.
It is requested that all vessels maintain a minimum of 500m separation distance from the Flintstone and pass at reduced speed.

A survey has identified potential cable exposures at several locations beyond the commonplace exposures (within the 50m radius around wind turbine and offshore substation foundations). The position and extent of the cable exposures shown in the below chart is limited to the burial status observed at the time of the survey. Cable burial status evolves over time, often rapidly. Mariners should not assume otherwise. Cable burial status is monitored periodically, and further information will be provided following future survey campaigns. Ørsted advises mariners to maintain care when operating within the windfarm array area.

The operations in this Marine Notice reflects an update to the activities associated with Marine Notice No. 47 of 2025 (Amended 07/05/2026), in relation to cable lay activities and Support Vessels on the Celtic Interconnector project. Please see the below update to the Celtic Interconnector project and marine operational works in Irish waters.
The current phase of cable burial and protection works in Irish waters is complete for 2026. As a result, the majority of the route is now being re-opened to fishing activities. However, two defined offshore areas will remain temporarily closed until the cable burial and protection is complete, currently expected in 2027.
The two defined areas that will continue to remain temporarily closed to fishing activities are shown with the below coordinates. The two areas include a temporary closure of +/- 1000m either side of cable route. All other areas are re-opened to fishing activities.

The position of the vessels will be subject to rotation of the vessels and associated locations.
As part of the marine operational works in Irish waters, subsea rock installation has been used to protect sections of the cable route. Further information on the locations of the subsea rock installation along the route will be made available soon.

Survey Activities: XOCEAN is planning the collection of geophysical data using remotely piloted Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) along the cable route between Ardmore-Skye and Flodabay-Harris. The USVs are expected to operate out of Tarbert for the full survey duration. A mix of USVs with both hull mounted survey sensors (Multibeam Echosounders & Sub-Bottom Profilers) and also towed sensors (SideScan Sonar & Magnetometer) through the water in proximity of the seabed will be used. In addition a crewed survey vessel will be engaged in the survey operations consisting of both Multibeam Echo Sounders and towed sidescan and magnetometer.
A crewed Support Vessel will be chartered throughout the survey to support the USVs with departures and arrivals from Tarbert and assist in towing them back in if a technical issue occurs.
Dates/Duration: Operations are now due to re-commence on 09h September 2026, brought forward from the previously stated date of 14th September 2026. It is expected that the survey activities shall run for approximately 14 days, subject to weather.
Survey Area: Figure 1 below indicates the operational area including a 500m buffer from the survey corridor. Coordinates delineating the area are in Table 1 below also. If mariners believe our operations will interact with their activities then they should get in touch via the FIR/ FLO.

The survey area comprises an approximate 300m wide survey corridor between Hunmanby Gap, UK and Henne Strand, Denmark. The USV is expected to be operating within +/- 150m of the centreline route. In addition to the survey area, the USVs will transit from/to the ports of Scarborough, UK, Esbjerg, Denmark & Hvide Sande, Denmark.
Vessels:
It is expected there will be up to six USV operational at any one time. Vessels will be a combination of XOCEAN’s XO-450 & XO-580 class USV’s.
Mode of Operation:
Although the USV are uncrewed, they are managed throughout the 24 hour operation, piloted remotely using 360 degree cameras and other navigational aids. The USV sends real time images and situational awareness data over satellite to a team of operators keeping watch and controlling the vessel remotely 24/7. A support vessel will escort the USV from the active ports to clear water. Seafarers are asked to avoid contact with the vessel and be aware of the operational area during this period.

The survey equipment will consist of multibeam echosounder (MBES), Sub-bottom profiler (SBP), sidecan sonar (SSS), ultrashort baseline acoustic positioning system (USBL) and magnetometer (MAG).
During survey operations, the vessel will be operating at approximately 4 to 5 knots with equipment being towed approximately 200m astern.

Survey operations are expected to commence from 24th July for approximately 5 weeks, subject to weather and other operational factors.

General Safety Advice
The vessel will be restricted in their ability to manoeuvre and will display the appropriate lights and shapes prescribed by the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. Seafarers are requested to provide a minimum clearance of 500m from the survey vessel during marine operations and pass at a safe speed. VHF Channel 16 will be monitored by the vessel at all times. The vessel will also transmit regular Automatic Transmission Identification System (AIS) Messages. The proposed works will be 24 hours a day.

Mariners are advised that Neart na Gaoithe Offshore Wind Farm Limited (NnGOWL) has completed the replacement of the Orange-D inter-array cable (IAC). The burial of the Orange-D IAC was completed in August 2026. However, a small section of the cable is below target burial depth and should be avoided for safety, coordinates of the area are given below

Eastern Green Link 4 (EGL4) will be carrying out UXO (Unexploded Ordnance) and Archaeology marine geophysical surveys.
Mariners are advised that UXO (Unexploded Ordnance) and Archaeology marine geophysical surveys are planned for the Eastern Green Link 4 (EGL 4) project. The marine survey activities for EGL 4 are planned to commence in early September 2026 in Scottish nearshore and offshore waters and are expected to complete in October. The survey sensors will consist of: Multibeam echosounder, side-scan sonar, USBL (ultra-short baseline acoustic positioning system), magnetometer array, and sub-bottom profiler.

XOCEAN will undertake a geophysical inspection survey of approximately 127km of the Western Link HVDC cable system from the south of the Isle of Man to its landfall at the Wirral, England.
The survey will be completed using two XOCEAN Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) equipped with Multibeam Echo Sounder (MBES) and towed Side Scan Sonar (SSS) systems.
The objective of the survey is to monitor cable burial status, seabed mobility, rock berms, concrete mattresses, cable crossings and associated seabed features identified during previous inspection campaigns

On behalf of Inch Cape Offshore Ltd, Seaway 7 shall commence the installation of WTG jacket foundation pin pile components. There will be three pin piles installed in the seabed at each of the 18 jacket locations throughout the Inch Cape Site.
The pin piles will be transported from the Port of Leith to the Inch Cape site and installed in the seabed using a pile installation frame, as shown in the attached Notice to Mariners
The installation vessel, Alfa Lift, is expected to arrive at the Inch Cape site on or around the 31st of August to commence installation activities which will continue for several weeks, further detail in the attached Notice to Mariners

The works, managed by Prysmian, will be carried out between 5th September 2026 to 15th October 2026 (weather dependent).
Mariners are advised that these works will be taking place within areas already closed as part of the ongoing Identification and Clearance Works. Vessels, when transiting, are requested to pass at a safe speed and distance of at least 0.5 nautical miles from the Works Area. During the ongoing works, the vessel will have restricted manoeuvrability as it completes the work scopes. VHF CH 16 will be monitored at all times and will be used to contact the coastguard in the event of an emergency.

Please be advised that Jan De Nul Luxembourg S.A. has undertaken power cable installation and power cable protection activities for the Skye-Uist Replacement project. The project comprises two new subsea power cables: one between Loch Pooltiel on the Isle of Skye and Loch Carnan on the Isle of South Uist and the other one between Ardmore on Isle of Skye and Loch Pooltiel on Isle of Skye.
This notice supersedes the earlier Notice to Mariners dated 21/08/2026. The cable installation and protection works described in the previous Notice have now been completed (except for the cable end in the Ardmore Bay, Isle of Skye). Initial cable lay was undertaken as surface lay, followed by the required cable protection and stabilisation works. An update of the vessels currently present is available in Table 2.
Please note that the cable at Ardmore Bay has been installed and not yet protected nor stabilised. The cable end was previously placed in wet storage on the seabed surface. Cable recovery and subsequent pull-in activities at Ardmore Bay will be undertaken at a later stage this year. Security broadcasts are being made at requisite times ahead of disposal activities to all vessels in the area to keep clear of the UXO Disposal site.
Noise monitoring/hydrophone placements have now ceased and all noise monitoring devices have now been recovered and removed from site.
Boulder Relocations
A total of approx 92 boulders are remaining for relocation during August & September. This is being carried out using an SMT.

This has been issued to update mariners on the upcoming major component exchange which will take place within the Moray Offshore Windfarm (West) Limited (Moray West) site. The start date for works has been delayed, and works are now to take place in September/ October 2026 and will last approximately 14 days (subject to weather).

The works comprise a transformer exchange which will be carried out at two locations: WTG EO8 and WTG L09 (Table 1). There will be a ERRV (Emergency Response & Rescue Vessel) in the field 24 hours a day to provide cover for the JUV and an additional CTV for support. Reach Subsea UK LTD are conducting an offshore survey campaign on behalf of Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission Plc. Trading as Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks Transmission (SSENT). SSEN Transmission commenced the marine survey inside 12nm on 28th March 2026 with X-Ocean Nearshore works completed. The nearshore geophysical survey vessels (Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) will be operating within 15m LAT and out to >30m LAT, working as close to shore as possible. The survey equipment will also require calibration testing, which may be conducted outside of the survey corridor. The Survey Vessel C-Trojan will be conducted by Reach Subsea UK Ltd mobilising 28th August 2026 and is estimated to be completed on the 30th September 2026.

A 500m radius restricted zone will be in place, centred on the Wind Server at all times whilst onsite. If access is required into this zone for non-project vessel traffic, authorisation must be requested from the vessel master.

The marine survey activities for Western Link 2 will commence on the 13/07/2026 and includes geotechnical, benthic, and geophysical survey work in the survey corridor, from the Firth of Clyde at the northern end, through the North Channel, into the Irish Sea, and landing at Caernarfon Bay at the southern end.
The offshore geotechnical work will be undertaken by survey vessel Geo Ocean VI and the nearshore geotechnical work will be undertaken by the jack-up barge Causeway Giant 1. The work will consist of a geotechnical survey to collect high-quality geotechnical data through seabed cone penetration and vibrocoring, and nearshore ground investigation work at borehole locations.
The offshore and nearshore benthic survey work will be undertaken by survey vessels, Roman Rebel and Seren Las, respectively, and will consist of grab sampling.
The offshore geophysical survey work will be undertaken by survey vessels Frontier, Seeker, and USV Blue Eclipse.

The survey works shall be conducted in the nearshore section by the Fugro Seeker utilising multibeam echosounder, towed sidescan sonar SBP and USV, and by the MJM Enterprise using a GeoArm sub-bottom imager.

Navigation Warning - 08th January 2021
Mariners are advised that the remnants of a Wave Rider Buoy sinker weight and partial rigging are located within the Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm Construction site at the following location;
53° 30.442N 000° 50.564E
It is advised that the partial rigging could potentially be floating up to 9.7m above the seabed, reducing the navigable safe water in the immediate area to 10m LAT. Mariners are advised to avoid the indicated position by 250 metres.
Possible Dangers to Navigation - Properties of the polypropylene show that the rope is buoyant, this makes the line sensitive for thruster currents. Taking the site water depth into consideration (19.7m LAT) and the maximum expected height above seabed of the rope 9.7m the line is expected to be floating submerged at approximately -10m LAT. In addition, it is noted that over time sediments will be trapped between the fibres and the heavier rope may finally sink. The polypropylene rope may impose a risk to foul propellers / propulsion of vessels due to the buoyant nature of the rope. As the rope is submerged at a depth of ~-10m LAT the risk is considered minimum for vessels with a shallow draught (<5m) and medium for a vessel with a deeper draught (>5m). Over time sediments will be trapped between the fibres and the heavier rope may finally sink thereby reducing the risk to propellers/propulsion of vessels. The clump weight itself (chain) is expected to have sunk into the seabed and has no significant height above seabed. In addition, the edges of the clump weight are mostly rounded (chain), the risk the clump weigh imposes to fishing activities/gear is therefore considered to be minimal.

• The lost cone is not considered to pose a hazard to general navigation.
• Based on the data at the time of loss and the length of lost equipment vs. the penetration into the seabed, it is believed that the lost rod will not likely be protruding from the seabed.
• However, the lost cone may be a potential snagging risk for fishing gear, etc. Furthermore, they may present a risk to small vessels when anchoring or operating gear near the seabed in close proximity to the location detailed in the table below.
• WL2 is in regular contact with the local Marine Management Organisation (MMO) coastal officers; a dropped object / lost gear form is in the process of being submitted to the MMO for the lost cone.

The first phase of the works will include exit pit and trench excavation, which is expected to take place between 8th August to 15th October 2026. The works will be carried out by Capall Mara (barge) and Manannan (crew transfer vessel).
Following this, HDD marine assistance works will be expected to take place between 15th September and 30th December 2026. This Notice to Mariners will be updated to include the vessels working on the next phase of work.
Vessels, when transiting, are requested to pass at a safe speed and distance, and fishing vessels are advised to remain at a safe distance of at least 1km from the Works Area. Works will be ongoing and the vessels will have restricted maneuverability as they complete their work scopes.
The Communication between the vessels will be through CH67 & 72.
VHF CH 16 will be monitored at all times and will be used to contact the coastguard in the event of an emergency.

The mass of the object is 250 kilograms. It is estimated the dropped object has sunk to the seabed. As it is near the wind turbine generator H13, the object will be adjacent to the monopile/structure of the WTG H13.
The dropped object occurred at NNG windfarm, and was the middle section of the crew transfer vessel (CTV), Forth Engineer, fender located on the bow end of the CTV. Whilst the CTV was ‘pushing off’ the wind turbine generator H13, after technicians had vacated it, the fender became loose from the CTV dropping into the sea. The plan surrounding the dropped object has yet to be finalised. Once finalised-this will be communicated without delay. It is anticipated the object has sunk to the seabed based on accounts from the CTV operating crew. Risks and dangers to other sea users for navigation is estimated to be low due to the mass being 250 kilograms.

On behalf of Inch Cape, N-Sea will commence inter array cable installation activities. Cabling will be laid and pulled into the offshore sub station platform and foundation structures as shown in the attached Nptice to Mariners.
The service operations vessel Olympic Taurus will transfer cable preparation and pull in teams to the offshore platform and foundation structures utilising it’s walk to work system, Olympic Taurus is expected to arrive at the work site on or around the 17th of July.
Inter array cables will be surface laid and pulled into the sub station and foundations from the cable lay vessel Altera which is expected to arrive at Inch Cape on or around the 31st of July.
Operations shall be supported by the crew transfer vessel MCS Pampero.
Cable installation operations are expected to continue for several months.

17 x scientific seabed passive acoustic monitoring systems with sensor strings in the lower 5m of the water column have been redeployed across the UK Celtic Sea area following serving (4 x full systems from the original array could not be found). Units are fully subsurface with no surface markers. Mariners should exercise caution during operations and avoid trawling or seabed gear deployment near positions. Mariners are advised to exercise caution in the vicinity during active operations.

On behalf of Inch Cape Offshore Ltd, Enshore Subsea Ltd, shall continue export cable 2 installation operations.
Export cable 2 sections 1,2 & 3 have been surface laid, coordinates shown below in the attached Notice to Mariners.
CMOS Installer has laid one rock bag at a cable crossing location and seven rock bags on the section 1 cable in the vicinity of the cable landfall at Cockenzie, East Lothian. The cable crossing rock bag has no surface mark, The rock bags at the landfall area are surface marked by red coloured A4 buoys, location and coordinates shownin the attached Notice to Mariners.
The CMOS Installer will return to the work site to commence cable burial on or around the 3rd of July. Burial operations will start in section 2 moving towards the offshore sub station platform, in the attached Notice to Mariners. Burial operations will continue until September.
Surface laid cable shall be monitored by guard vessels as promulgated in the Inch Cape weekly notice of operations

Prysmian will be conducted marine works on behalf of the Eastern Green Link 2 subsea cable project. The described activities include nearshore support work for the installation of two new ducts through Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD).
These HDD operations will involve installing break-out (punch-out) ducts within Sandford Bay. There will be dive works conducted in support of this effort. There will be a dive support vessel and crew transfer vessel supporting these works. Work vessels will be restricted in their maneuoverability at times. There will be divers in the water at times. The work vessels will display appropriate shapes and lights prescribed by the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at SeaFor these reasons. Crew transfer will occur nominally between the hours of 0700 and 1900 hours. All vessels transiting the area are requested to provide a minimum clearance of 500m from the vessel C-Horizon during marine operations and pass at a safe speed. VHF Channel 16 will be monitored at all times and Security Messages will be issued on this channel. These vessels will also be transmitting on the Automatic Transmission Identification System (AIS).

The jack-up vessel ‘JB 120’ will be positioned next to the East Anglia THREE OFCS within the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm area.
During operations, the ‘JB 120’, ‘CENTAURUS’ (Lead tug), ‘FAIRPLAY 62’ (Assistant tug) and ‘FAIRPLAY 32’ (Assistant tug) will be restricted in their ability to manoeuvre as defined under COLREGs (International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972) and will display the appropriate day shapes and lights. The vessels will also transmit an Automatic Identification System (AIS) message.
A Statutory Safety zone of 500m radius will be in place around the ‘JB 120’ at all times.
‘JB 120’ and supporting tugs are supplied with VHF multi-channel radios and mobile phones.

UPDATE – Due to changes in vessel availability, the Fugro Zephyr will now remain on site until 19 June 2026. The Fugro Quest will arrive on 03 June 2026 at the earliest and continue operations until the survey scope is complete, alongside the Fugro Zenith.
The guard vessels on site will now be the Ocean Trust and Reaper, which are planned to alternate for the remainder of the survey campaign.
Please refer to the updated vessel information within the attached Notice To Mariners for further details. There are no changes to the survey scope.
It should be noted that SSE Renewables are not expecting fishers to relocate gear - on this occasion the vessels will aim to work around any gear on location. A scouting/guard vessel will also be contracted to operate ahead of the survey vessels to ensure that this can be achieved. There will be no towed gear as part of this survey.
The Zenith and Quest (operated by Fugro) will commence operations on 6th April and 25th April, respectively, for a duration of 207 survey days. To account for weather delays and other eventualities, we would like to extend the validity of this notice until 30 November 2026.

East Anglia THREE will be a large offshore wind farm, located 69 km off the Norfolk coast. With a projected capacity of approximately 1400MW, the wind farm shall supply electricity to approximately one million UK homes. Onshore construction for the project started in July 2022.
By use of multiple specialized offshore vessels,1 Offshore Convertor station (OFCS) & 95 offshore wind turbine generators (WTGs) will be installed within the East Anglia Three site boundary along with the associated inter array and export cables. The generated power will be transmitted via an installed External Cable (EC) from the OFCS to a shore side substation located in Bramford.

A service has been completed on the Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) Stations that have been deployed on the seabed, in and at locations around the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm Area. A total of eleven PAM stations have been re-deployed, two of which are marked by surface buoys.
The PAM stations will remain on the seabed until approximately 31/10/2027, 9 deployed PAM stations have a 12 m height above the seabed, a weight of 600 kg and their location is not marked by a surface buoy. Two deployed PAM stations are marked by surface buoys, each anchored to the seabed by two 2 tonne anchor mooring weights.
The PAM stations will be serviced periodically with information distributed via future Notice to Mariners. There is an exclusion zone of 250m around each PAM Station, Marine traffic is advised to maintain the safety zone and navigate with caution at all times.

The 17 construction boundary demarcation buoys will remain in location until the windfarm construction activities have been completed and handed over to the Operations and Maintenance teams.
Once the permanent Aids to Navigation (AtoN) have been installed on the WTGs, Trinity House will approve the permanent AtoN and the boundary buoys will be removed.
If anyone finds a buoy that is off station or encounters a buoy location where it is not functioning or is missing, they should report this to the Dogger Bank Duty Marine Coordinator as soon as possible.

The remainder of the wire is buried beneath the seabed. The wire does not constitute a hazard to general navigation; however, it may present a risk to small vessels when anchoring.
The Jack-up WTG Installation Vessel, Voltaire, will install wind turbine generators (WTG) within the Dogger Bank B construction area.
The works will commence around the 21st of February 2026 continuing until approximately Q2 2027. The works will be continuous, 24 hours a day. A chart of the DBB construction area boundary coordinates and a table of WTG location coordinates is provided below. A running list of the completed WTG installations and the next locations to be installed is presented in the Weekly Notice of Operations.

Seaway 7 deployed a Wave Rider Buoy on the 01/05/2025 within the boundary of the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm Array during the Monopile Noise monitoring campaign as referenced in EA3 NTM 026 - 2025 Monopile Installation (Noise Monitoring Buoy Deployment). The Wave rider Buoy will remain on station until the end of the project.
The Wave Rider Buoy is equipped with a flashing yellow light and has a range of four nautical miles.
Recovery and/or periodic maintenance of the Wave Rider Buoy will be notified via future Notice to Mariners

Please be advised that Partrac Ltd have completed maintenance on the Northern weather monitoring buoy, installed within the East Anglia Three Offshore Wind Farm Area.
Positions for both North & South weather buoys are identified in the attached Notice To Mariners 005 -2025. There will be periodic maintenance for both weather buoys during construction of EA3.
There is an exclusion zone of 100m around the weather buoys, mariners are advised to abide by the 100m safety zone and navigate with caution at all times.

OverviewMariners are advised that North Falls Offshore Wind Farm (NFOWF) will undertake a metocean survey within the Wind Turbine Array Area, at the Primary and Secondary locations shown in Table 1 and Figure 2.
Survey Duration Mobilisation will commence on or after 18 February 2026, with the metocean survey lasting between 12 and 18months. The planned survey end date will be no later than 16 August 2027.
Survey Tasks The metocean survey work is being undertaken by Partrac, who will use the vessel CT Vector to deploy the metocean equipment at the Primary and Secondary locations shown in Table 1 and Figure 2. It is expected that the deployment operation will last for one day.
The metocean equipment will consist of one seabed frame deployed at each location (i.e., a total of two seabed frames). Each seabed frame will be equipped with an acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) and additional sensors (temperature sensor, water-level sensor, and turbidity sensor). Each seabed frame will be connected to a clump weight, with approximately 100 m leaded polypropylene ground line between the seabed frame and clump weight.
As a consequence of equipment being deployed, all mariners are advised to keep a safe clearance distance of no less than 500 m from the deployment vessel and metocean equipment deployment locations. No towed survey equipment will be deployed from the vessel.

During operations, the IWS Sun Walker will be restricted in its ability to manoeuvre as defined under COLREGs (International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972) and will display the appropriate day shapes and lights. The vessel will also transmit an Automatic Identification System (AIS) message. It is requested that all vessels maintain a minimum of 500m separation distance from the SOV and pass at reduced speed. Fishing gear or other equipment with seabed intervention should not be deployed when approaching the working area.
