OEG has returned to the EA2 Windfarm Development Consent Order Limits with the Northern Victoria vessel and is carrying out the the following scopes:-

Archaeology relocations

There is a total of 1 archaeology targets which are being relocated. 

This scope is continuing through June.

Explosive Ordnance Disposals (EOD)

There is a total of 10 confirmed UXO's remaining that are being disposed of using Low Order techniques during June & July. No High Order disposals will be carried out. Securite broadcasts are being made at requisite times ahead of disposal activities to all vessels in the area to keep clear of the UXO Disposal site. 

OEG is conducting noise monitoring of 7 of the remaining 10 UXO clearances. The remaining noise monitoring stations are placed on the seabed at the following locations:-

Group C noise monitor placements 

Group D noise monitor placements 

Upon completion of these noise monitoring operations an updated kingfisher bulletin will be issued. 

Debris relocations

A total of 4 items of debris are being relocated during the above UXO clearnace scope. This is being carried out out using a combination of orange peel grab, ROV and ROV/SMT. 

This is being carried out between June and July 2026

This work will be undertaken by a Jack-Up Barge (JUB) and will remain stationary at each location for up to 48 hours. A Multicat will only be present on site to assist the JUB maneourves as required.

On behalf of Inch Cape Offshore Ltd, Enshore Subsea Ltd, shall continue export cable 2 installation operations.

Export cable 2 shall be laid in three sections, sections 2 & 3 have been surface laid, coordinates shown below in fig 1 and table 1.

Section 1 cable installation is expected to commence at the cable landfall site, Cockenzie, East Lothian on or around the 12th of June. Dive works will commence on or around the 10th of June to prepare the export cable duct prior to cable being pulled into the onshore sub station. Vessel details below.

Once all three cable sections have been surface laid, they shall be jointed and buried at a date to be promulgated in a revision to this notice.

Campaign 3 post-lay burial works will commence from KP200-EEZ from 11th June 2026 to 16th July 2026. Post-work surveys will also be extended to the EEZ. The table below summarises the activities being carried out from KP2-EEZ. It should be noted that these dates are subject to change due to weather or operational requirements.

Mariners are advised that the following vessels continue to be active at the Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm (TKOWF) as outlined within previously issued NtM's:

Mariners are advised that all foundations monopiles have been installed and all inter-array and export cables have been installed.

Navigation Warning - 08th January 2021

Mariners are advised that the remnants of a Wave Rider Buoy sinker weight and partial rigging are located within the Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm Construction site at the following location;

53° 30.442N 000° 50.564E

It is advised that the partial rigging could potentially be floating up to 9.7m above the seabed, reducing the navigable safe water in the immediate area to 10m LAT.  Mariners are advised to avoid the indicated position by 250 metres.

Possible Dangers to Navigation - Properties of the polypropylene show that the rope is buoyant, this makes the line sensitive for thruster currents. Taking the site water depth into consideration (19.7m LAT) and the maximum expected height above seabed of the rope 9.7m the line is expected to be floating submerged at approximately -10m LAT. In addition, it is noted that over time sediments will be trapped between the fibres and the heavier rope may finally sink. The polypropylene rope may impose a risk to foul propellers / propulsion of vessels due to the buoyant nature of the rope. As the rope is submerged at a depth of ~-10m LAT the risk is considered minimum for vessels with a shallow draught (<5m) and medium for a vessel with a deeper draught (>5m). Over time sediments will be trapped between the fibres and the heavier rope may finally sink thereby reducing the risk to propellers/propulsion of vessels. The clump weight itself (chain) is expected to have sunk into the seabed and has no significant height above seabed. In addition, the edges of the clump weight are mostly rounded (chain), the risk the clump weigh imposes to fishing activities/gear is therefore considered to be minimal.

Navigation Warning - 16th March 2021

Mariners are advised that two UXO targets have been confirmed within the Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm Array.

Mariners are advised that the two confirmed targets are located within 20 metres water depth (LAT) and a 10 metre radius exclusion zone is required around each target.  The following table provides the coordinates and a description for each target.

The survey will involve the full coverage of dedicated survey lines with a geophysical survey system multibeam echo sounder and towed Sidescan Sonar.

As the Fugro Frontier will be line keeping, the vessel may require large turning circles and will be restricted in their ability to manoeuvre.

All vessels operating within this area are requested to keep their distance, maintaining at least the 500m safety zone around the survey vessel, and pass at minimum speed to reduce vessel wash.

A continuous listening watch will be conducted on VHF Channel 16. 

Construction Support Activities

The Service Operations Vessel Grampian Tweed will continue with ongoing construction support activities within Dogger Bank C construction site. During operations, all vessels will be restricted in their ability to manoeuvre as defined under COLREGs (International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972) and will display the appropriate day shapes and lights. The vessels will also transmit an Automatic Identification System (AIS) message. It is requested that all vessels maintain a minimum of 500m separation distance from the working vessels and pass at reduced speed. Fishing gear or other equipment with seabed intervention should not be deployed when approaching the working area.

Geophysical Survey Operations XOCEAN will carry out an MBES geophysical survey within Dogger Bank A, Dogger Bank B and Dogger Bank C array area and in addition Export Cable Routes from landfall to DBA and DBB sites using remotely piloted uncrewed surface vessels (USVs). The USVs will be mobilised from Scarborough where each USV will be escorted out of the harbour limits, before transiting to the survey area. Survey Operations will be continuous 24hrs a day. 

Survey Activities: XOCEAN is planning the collection of geophysical data using remotely piloted Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) along a proposed cable route corridor in Orkney, from the islands of Sanday to North Ronaldsay. The USVs are expected to operate out of Eday for the full survey duration. A mix of USVs with both hull mounted survey sensors (Multibeam Echosounders & Sub-Bottom Profilers) and also towed sensors (SideScan Sonar & Magnetometer) through the water in proximity of the seabed will be used. A crewed Support Vessel will be chartered throughout the survey to support the USVs with departures and arrivals from Eday and assist in towing them back in if a technical issue occurs. 

Dates/Duration: Operations commenced on 13 April 2026. It is expected that the survey activities shall be completed by 15th June 2026 (subject to weather). 

Survey Area: Figure 1 below indicates the operational area which is shown by the darker green area. This is outlined in Table 1 below also.  

The survey will involve the full coverage of dedicated survey lines with a geophysical survey system multibeam echo sounder.

As the Fugro Seeker will be line keeping, the vessel may require large turning circles and will be restricted in their ability to manoeuvre.

All vessels operating within this area are requested to keep their distance, maintaining at least the 500m safety zone around the survey vessel, and pass at minimum speed to reduce vessel wash.

A continuous listening watch will be conducted on VHF Channel 16.

The exact finish date will be dependent on the prevailing weather conditions and work progress. Mariners are requested to remain where possible 500m from Construction vessels when exhibiting the day shapes / night lights for vessels restricted in their manoeuvrability.

Service Operation Vessels

The Service Operations Vessels (SOV) “Purus Power” & Daughter craft “Purus Transporter” continues to support to the SOWF project throughout the construction of the offshore windfarm.

The SOV 'ACTA Centaurus' and 'Austri Enable continues operations within the Sofia Array.

SOVs shall be transiting to / from the Sofia Array and the port of Blyth / Sunderland throughout this period.

Crew Transfer Vessel

The Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) MHO Gurli and Seazip 9 continues operations at the Sofia OWF.

All vessels can be contacted on VHF 16 throughout as required. All vessels shall be operating to / from the Port of Hull and will be operational 24 hours / day.

Construction Support Activities

The Offshore Construction Support Vessels IWS Skywalker and Grampian Tees, will continue with ongoing construction support activities within Dogger Bank B construction site.

Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Installation

he Jack-up WTG Installation Vessel, Voltaire, will continue installation of wind  turbine generators (WTG) within the Dogger Bank B construction area. The works commencing in February 2026, and will be continuous, 24 hours a day, for the duration of the WTG installations

During operations,all vessels will be restricted in their ability to manoeuvre as defined under COLREGs (International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972) and will display the appropriate day shapes and lights. The vessels will also transmit an Automatic Identification System (AIS) message.

Construction Support Activities

The Offshore Construction Support Vessels Norwind Helm, Grampian Tyne, Grampian Tay, Windea Carnot, Norside Cygnus and Grampian Derwent will continue with ongoing construction support activities within Dogger Bank A construction site.

All mariners and stakeholders are advised that a number of monopile temporary navigation lights are unlit.

Unlit monopiles shall be monitored during the hours of darkness by the guard vessel Silverwave, vessel detail below.

The locations & coordinates of the affected assets are shown below in the attached notice to mariners.

This Notice to Mariners (NtM) is related to the upcoming Post Lay Cable Burial and Protection Works for the Interconnector under Marine Licence L/2022/00013/4. Please distribute accordingly so other sea users are aware.    Post-lay burial protection operations are still ongoing. Cable protection activities through mattress installation and remedial burial will continue to take place using the C-installer and Genesis until July 30th. These dates are subject to change due to weather or operational requirements.  

The works will be completed by personnel from OEL on the vessel Coastal surveyor. AUVs will be running pre-planned missions at an altitude of between 5 – 15 m above seabed, providing full coverage of the survey area and surfacing periodically for very short periods of time. During deployment of equipment the vessel will be under restricted manoeuvrability and require sufficient clearance for safe working. While AUVs are operational, Coastal Surveyor will remain on site monitoring the equipment at a maximum stand-off distance of 1 km.

Survey Activities: XOCEAN is planning the collection of geophysical data using remotely piloted Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) along the cable route between Ardmore-Skye and Flodabay-Harris. The USVs are expected to operate out of Uig for the full survey duration.

A mix of USVs with both hull mounted survey sensors (Multibeam Echosounders & Sub-Bottom Profilers) and also towed sensors (SideScan Sonar & Magnetometer) through the water in proximity of the seabed will be used. A crewed Support Vessel will be chartered throughout the survey to support the USVs with departures and arrivals from Uig and assist in towing them back in if a technical issue occurs. 

Dates/Duration: Operations commence in 20th June 2026. It is expected that the survey activities shall run for approximately 30 days, subject to weather.  

Survey area: Figure 1 below indicates the operational area which is shown by the darker green area, with red being the 500m buffer from survey corridor to allow for line turns. Coordinates for the area delineated in red are provided in Table 1 below. 

Fishing Gear Clearance: Fishing gear clearance is being requested for these surveys, within the indicated corridor delineated in red. 

Survey operations will be carried out by the Geosurveyor XI which has completed surveys along the OEC. The vessel then proceeded to Moray East to survey the windfarm assets, before returning to the Moray West site to complete the geophysical surveys across the rest of the site. The majority of works will take place around the turbines and inter-array cables although a small section of the OEC will be resurveyed. Survey operations within the OEC will be carried out during daylight hours only and will be able to work around any fishing gear sighted from the vessel.

It is now anticipated that the vessel will resume work on the Moray West site for June and July 2026, with the survey period covering approximately 38 days (16 days of work and a contingency for weather downtime). Works within the Moray West red boundary (Figure 1) will take place throughout a 24-hour period.

Mariners are advised about geotechnical drilling operations in the Thistle Wind Partners Bowdun E3 Export Cable borehole areas located within the Survey Clearance Area. Lankelma is conducting these investigations on behalf of Thistle Wind Partners. The Jack-up barge Shearwater, and Tug Liftmoor, will be performing these operations.

Vessel details and contact information are provided within the attached Notice. The survey work is expected to be completed by approximately 21st June 2026, subject to weather.

On behalf of Inch Cape Wind Ltd. Jan de Nul will commence the installation of wind turbine generator foundation monopiles. The monopile components will be transported from the Port of Leith to the Inch Cape site and installed at 54 locations within the wind farm boundary.

The installation vessel Les Alizes is expected to arrive at Inch Cape to commence operations on or around the 25th of December. Each monopile will be installed with a lit temporary navigation structure, the light shall exhibit Flashing (Fl) Yellow (Y) 2.5 seconds (s) 

Monopile installation is expected to continue until June 2026.

The USVs will be mobilised from Scarborough where each USV will be escorted out of the harbour limits, before transiting to the survey area. Survey Operations will be continuous 24hrs a day. Although vessels are uncrewed, they are managed remotely continuously using 360-degree cameras and other sensors.

 The works will commence on the 21/05/2026, continuing until 31/07/2026 when all locations have been surveyed. The works will be continuous, 24 hours a day. A chart of the DBA, DBB and DBC Array Area including bounding coordinates is provided below. It is to be noted that we are surveying all Inter Array Cables (IAC) within DBA, Inter Array Cables (IAC) within DBB, all asset locations within DBC (95 x WTG’s and 1 x OSP) and the Export Cable route from DBA/DBB array areas to the landfall site south of Bridlington near Ulrome.

 It is requested that all vessels maintain a minimum of 500m separation distance from the USVs and pass at reduced speed.

It is requested that all vessels maintain a minimum of 1500m separation distance from Yellowstone and pass at reduced speed. Fishing gear or other equipment with seabed intervention should not be deployed when approaching the working corridor.

Yellowstone is expected to mobilise from the port of Stavanger on the 15/06/2026.Completion of the works will be notified through the cancellation of this Notice to Mariners. Weekly updates on vessel movements will be issued via the EA3 Weekly Notice of Operations.During SRI operations, the Yellowstone will have restricted manoeuvrability as defined under COLREGs (International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, 1972). They will display the appropriate day shapes and lights and will transmit an Automatic Identification System (AIS) message.All vessels are required to monitor VHF Channel 16 and VHF DSC Channel 70 continuously throughout the operation.

UPDATE – Due to changes in vessel availability, the Fugro Zephyr will now remain on site until 19 June 2026. The Fugro Quest will arrive on 03 June 2026 at the earliest and continue operations until the survey scope is complete, alongside the Fugro Zenith. 

The guard vessels on site will now be the Ocean Trust and Reaper, which are planned to alternate for the remainder of the survey campaign. 

Please refer to the updated vessel information within the attached Notice To Mariners for further details. There are no changes to the survey scope.

It should be noted that SSE Renewables are not expecting fishers to relocate gear - on this occasion the vessels will aim to work around any gear on location. A scouting/guard vessel will also be contracted to operate ahead of the survey vessels to ensure that this can be achieved. There will be no towed gear as part of this survey. 

The Zenith and Quest (operated by Fugro) will commence operations on 6th April and 25th April, respectively, for a duration of 207 survey days. To account for weather delays and other eventualities, we would like to extend the validity of this notice until 30 November 2026. 

This updates the notice issued on 22 April 2026 and advises mariners that, as part of the annual operations and maintenance programme, asset inspection surveys are being conducted within the Moray Offshore Windfarm (West) Limited (Moray West) site. Owing to programme delays, the survey works are now expected to continue through to completion in June 2026.

Balance of Plant (BoP) operations will be carried out by the DP2 vessel, Voe Vanguard which arrived at the Moray West site 28th May 2026. General visual inspection, via ROV deployment, of the asset foundations will be carried out on all 60 WTGs. Works will take place within the Moray West windfarm and are scheduled to occur on a continuous 24-hour basis.

RWE Renewables UK Wind Ltd at Rampion Windfarm would like to inform mariners that we are carrying out essential blade repairs on a number of locations across site. 

This work is due to commence on 5th June 2026 running until 2nd September 2026, within the Rampion OWF Area, depending on weather conditions.  

Technicians will be carrying out repair works via external rope access which pose a material risk of snagging on passing vessels if sufficient distance to the turbines is not adhered to. 

For the safety of the working party and anyone in the vicinity of the works, mariners are requested to be vigilant when approaching any WTG and steer well clear (>100m preferable) of any location where work is being carried out. 

It is requested that mariners avoid activities which are likely to disturb the seabed within a 500m Radius of this location until the exposed export cable has been re-investigated. A further Notice to Mariners will be issued to confirm the course of action we will be taking to rectify this. Please note that the standard safety rules apply when fishing in or near wind farms and associated cables. All mariners are requested to make themselves aware of their obligations for conducting activities over buried and protected cables under International and UK Cable (Sub-sea) Protection Legislation. 

Mariners are reminded to navigate with caution and keep continued watch on VHF Ch. 12 / 16 when navigating the area. The Marine Coordination Centre will be responsible for monitoring and policing the Safety Zone and can be contacted directly for advice. The survey equipment will consist of MBES, SSS, USBL, Mag, ROTV and UXO surrogate testing which will be placed on the seabed a maximum of three times in the nearshore area for equipment verification tests. SSEN Transmission and National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) are working together to address the need for increased capacity within the transmission network between Scotland and England. EGL3 will help provide increased capacity, carrying up to 2 GW of electricity, enough for two million homes. This will be achieved through a High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) cable connection between Aberdeenshire and Lincolnshire. The EGL 3 UXO marine survey works are being carried out by GeoXYZ Limited.

The survey works are being carried out by GeoXYZ Limited using the following vessels: GEO OCEAN VIII (2FUH9; 235094317)

General Safety Advice  The vessel will be restricted in their ability to manoeuvre and will display the appropriate lights and shapes prescribed by the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. Other vessels are requested to provide a minimum clearance of 500m from the survey vessel during marine operations and pass at a safe speed. Regular Security Messages will be issued on VHF Channel 16 and this Channel will be always monitored by the vessel. The vessel will also transmit regular Automatic Transmission Identification System (AIS) Messages. 

Legal Notice  Please be advised that this Notice to Mariners should be treated as official notice of the nature, duration and location of the works which are scheduled to take place. During the period of this notice, we request that you plan your activities around our short-term, temporary activities. Any failure to remove equipment or entry into the identified location in a manner that would constitute a hazard would be a breach of your duties of safe seamanship as described in the Convention on International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972 and/or the Merchant Shipping Act 1995 and may result in removal of the relevant equipment.

SSEN Transmission and National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) are working together to address the need for increased capacity within the transmission network between Scotland and England. EGL5 will help provide increased capacity, carrying up to 2 GW of electricity, enough for two million homes. This will be achieved through a High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) cable connection between Aberdeenshire and Lincolnshire. The EGL 5 geophysical survey works are being carried out Viking Reach.

Navigational Safety Advice: Vessels are requested to pass at a safe speed and distance and fishing vessels are advised to remain a safe distance, approximately 550m (0.3 nautical miles) from the areas identified. During these works the vessel will have restricted manoeuvrability as it completes its work scope. VHF CH 16 will be monitored at all times and will be used to contact the coastguard in the event of an emergency. 

Survey Vessels: The non-intrusive geophysical survey works are being carried out using the following vessels: Viking Reach (IMO 9489651; MMSI 258647000; Call Sign LARF7) 

The survey will involve the full coverage of dedicated survey lines with a geophysical survey system multibeam echo sounder and towed Sidescan Sonar.

As the Fugro Seeker will be line keeping, the vessel may require large turning circles and will be restricted in their ability to manoeuvre.

All vessels operating within this area are requested to keep their distance, maintaining at least the 500m safety zone around the survey vessel, and pass at minimum speed to reduce vessel wash.

A continuous listening watch will be conducted on VHF Channel 16. 

Activity:

Operation of remotely piloted Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) are planned in the UK and Danish North Sea sectors, from mid-May 2026. The vessels will be engaged in survey activities between Hunmanby Gap, UK and Henne Strand, Denmark on behalf of Woodstock Cable Limited.

Dates & Duration:

Survey operations are expected to commence from 13th May 2026 for approximately 4 months, subject to weather and other operational factors.

 Location:

The survey area comprises an approximate 300m wide survey corridor between Hunmanby Gap, UK and Henne Strand, Denmark. The USV is expected to be operating within +/- 150m of the centreline route. In addition to the survey area, the USVs will transit from/to the ports of Scarborough, UK, Esbjerg, Denmark & Hvide Sande, Denmark.

Vessels:

It is expected there will be up to four USV operational at any one time. Vessels will be a combination of XOCEAN’s XO-450 & XO-580 class USV’s. 

Mode of Operation:

Although the USV are uncrewed, they are managed throughout the 24 hour operation, piloted remotely using 360 degree cameras and other navigational aids. The USV sends real time images and situational awareness data over satellite to a team of operators keeping watch and controlling the vessel remotely 24/7. A support vessel will escort the USV from the active ports to clear water. Seafarers are asked to avoid contact with the vessel and be aware of the operational area during this period. 

Safety Precautions: The USV is equipped with the following to make it conspicuous to other marine traffic:

• AIS
• Navigation Lights & Sound Signal
• Active Radar Reflector
• Superstructure Painted Yellow
• VHF

Please be aware that Global Marine has been contracted to undertake two emergency repairs on the Concerto North submarine fibre optic telecommunications cable in the North Sea.

• The estimated repair location of repair 1 is 52° 21.7347'N 03° 02.3258'E
• The estimated repair location of repair 2 is 52° 22.8736'N 03° 24.7594'E

The repair vessel CS Sovereign is due to arrive on site on the 5th June and shall move between the 2 repair locations over subsequent days, anticipating to leave the area on 20th June. These dates are however dependant on weather and other operational conditions. A further notification will be issued to all parties once complete. Details of the operation and expected location are contained in the attached Notice to Mariners.

Please distribute this information accordingly so that other sea users are aware. The vessel will be limited in manoeuvrability and displaying shapes as per COLREGs. Other vessels should maintain a distance of at least 1NM from the cable ship during operations, and 1/4NM from any cable buoys in place during the course of the repair for safety.

Mariners are requested to observe a safe working distance of 500m when the Connector or Forth Constructor are performing geotechnical investigations of Cone Penetrating Tests and Vibrocoring at Awel y Môr OffshoreWind Farm, Export Cable Route. It is also requested that to ensure the safety of all sea users and their equipment, mariners observe a distance of at least 500m when Connector or Forth Constructor are manoeuvring into position.

All mariners and stakeholders are advised that a Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) mooring array for the purpose of monitoring marine mammals’ detections is currently deployed along the east coast of Scotland, within 2 km of the coast, between St Andrews Bay and Inverbervie.

The PAM array will remain in situ for 2 years (i.e. up to August 2027) with a service interval every 3 months. The moorings will not be surface marked as the top of the mooring extends approximately 4-7m above the seabed.

The PAM mooring at Montrose (P5) was recovered and redeployed during the service trip on 28 May 2026, as shown in Table 1 below.

Locations and coordinates for the passive acoustic monitors currently in place are shown below in fig 1.

Please be advised that Jan De Nul Luxembourg S.A. shall be undertaking power cable installation and power cable protection activities for the Skye-Uist Replacement project. Subject to the granting of the necessary licences, the project will install two new subsea power cables. One between Loch Pooltiel on the Isle of Skye and Loch Carnan on the Isle of South Uist and the other one between Ardmore on Isle of Skye and Loch Pooltiel on Isle of Skye.

This notice supersedes the earlier Notice to Mariners dated 19/05/2026 and includes updates to the scheduled activities for the full campaign of planned works.

The works will be carried out by several vessels which are listed further in this NtM.

The vessel will shall be conducting geophysical survey operations 24 hours per day and operating from the Port of Den Helder.

The vessel shall be monitoring VHF 16.

Vessel details included within the appended Notice to Mariners. 

Operation of remotely piloted Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) are planned in the southern North Sea, UK, during April, May and June 2026. The vessels will be engaged in survey activities on behalf of Sheringham Shoal and Dudgeon Extensions ProjCo Limited in the nearshore area of Sheringham (0-12 LAT) as outlined in Figure 1. It is expected there will be two USVs operational at any one time. Dates:  Survey operations are expected to commence from 14th April 2026 until the end of June 2026, subject to weather and other operational factors.

A sparker survey will be conducted by Spectrum 1 and will be engaged in survey activities on behalf of Sheringham Shoal and Dudgeon Extensions ProjCo Limited in the nearshore area of Sheringham (0-12 LAT) as outlined in Figure 1.

Crew Transfer Vessel Purus Franceswill provide assistance during the construction phase of the East AngliaTHREE Offshore Windfarm Array and will make regular transits between East Anglia THREE CDM and theports of Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.

Purus Frances is expected to mobilise from the port of Lowestoft circa 20/05/2025.

Completion of the works will be notified through the cancellation of this Notice to Mariners. Weeklyupdates on vessel movements will be issued via the EA3 Weekly Notice of Operations

Crew Transfer Vessel NR Predator will provide assistance during the construction phase of the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm Array and will make regular transits between East Anglia THREE CDM and the ports of Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.

It is currently anticipated that weather permitting, operations will be carried out on a continuous basis (i.e. 24-hour working, seven days a week) ‘NR Hunter’ will remain on the project until construction is complete

Crew Transfer Vessel NR Rebellion will provide assistance during the construction phase of the East Anglia Three Offshore Windfarm Array and will make regular transits between East Anglia Three CDM and the ports of Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth. Outer Thames Estuary Special Protection Area (SPA) As required under Deemed Marine License Condition 13(1)(c)(v) to minimise disturbance to red throated diver in the Outer Thames Estuary Special Protection Area (SPA), during construction of EA3. It is anticipated that vessels which are transiting to Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth ports, such as for crew transfer operations, will transit through and/or in proximity to the Outer Thames Estuary SPA. These areas shall be as far as practicable be avoided during transit from 01st November to 31st March

A survey has identified potential cable exposures at several locations beyond the commonplace exposures (within the 50m radius around wind turbine and offshore substation foundations). The position and extent of the cable exposures shown in the below chart is limited to the burial status observed at the time of the survey.  Cable burial status evolves over time, often rapidly. Mariners should not assume otherwise.  Cable burial status is monitored periodically, and further information will be provided following future survey campaigns. Ørsted advises mariners to maintain care when operating within the windfarm array area.

The platform supply vessel ‘BOS PRELUDE’ provides supply service during the commissioning phase of the East Anglia THREE Offshore Converter station (OFCS) ‘EA3 OFCS’.

‘BOS PRELUDE’ will deliver supplies to the ‘EA3 OFCS’ and the jack-up vessel ‘JB 120’ (as long as installed next to the OFCS) as well as carry out regular voyages between East Anglia THREE Windfarm and the ports of Emden (Germany, main service port) and Lowestoft (UK) and is equipped with VHF multi-channel radios and mobile phones.

Outer Thames Estuary Special Protection Area (SPA):

As required under Deemed Marine License Condition 13(1)(c)(v) to minimise disturbance to red throated diver in the Outer Thames Estuary Special Protection Area (SPA) during construction of East Anglia THREE, these areas shall as far as practicable be avoided during transits from 01st November to 31st March.

The guard vessel ‘Tess’ will monitor vessel traffic in and around the East Anglia Three Offshore Windfarm 24hours a day, 7 days a week. The vessel will broadcast regular navigational warnings and will contact any non-project vessels they believe could cause potential hazards, risk of collision, or cause an interruption to project vessels or assets. She will be monitoring VHF Channel 16 and VHF DSC Channel 70 continuously throughout the operaton.

Seaway Ventus will install 95 monopiles and transition pieces at the WTG locations set out in attached East Anglia Three Notice To Mariners 012 /2025. During the monopile and transition piece installation campaign, all vessels are requested to keep a 500m safety distance from the Seaway Ventus. It is currently anticipated that weather permitting, offshore works will be carried out on a continuous basis (i.e. 24-hour working, seven days a week)

During operations, the ‘Seaway Ventus’ will have restricted manoeuvrability as defined under COLREGS (International Regulations for Preventing Collisions At Sea, 1972). They will display the appropriate day shapes and lights and will transmit an Automatic Identification System (AIS) message.

The jack-up vessel ‘JB 120’ will be positioned next to the East Anglia THREE OFCS within the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm area.

• Rig move: The vessel will be maneuvered to its designated location.
• Jacking-Up Procedure: The vessel will be temporarily soft jacked on a safe stand-off position, from where its four anchors and mooring lines will be deployed. The deployed mooring lines will be used to move the vessel safely towards the final position, where the vessel will be jacked.
• Operational Phase: Once jacked up, the vessel will remain stationary for an estimated six months.

During operations, the ‘JB 120’, ‘CENTAURUS’ (Lead tug), ‘FAIRPLAY 62’ (Assistant tug) and ‘FAIRPLAY 32’ (Assistant tug) will be restricted in their ability to manoeuvre as defined under COLREGs (International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972) and will display the appropriate day shapes and lights. The vessels will also transmit an Automatic Identification System (AIS) message.

A Statutory Safety zone of 500m radius will be in place around the ‘JB 120’ at all times.

‘JB 120’ and supporting tugs are supplied with VHF multi-channel radios and mobile phones.

As part of the Orkney HVAC Project Leask Marine on behalf of Scottish & Southern Electrictu Networks Transmission (SSENT) will be undertaking the following marine operations; Commercial Diving, dredging and subsea lifting operations. The vessel MV C-Force will be deployed on a four-point mooring spread coordinates of which are detailed in the the attached NTM.

Vessels are requested to maintain a safe distance of 400 meters from the stated coordinates submitted.

Vessels involved will be keeping continuous listening watch on Channel 16 and 6 and will display appropriate lights and marks as required by the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea.

Mariners are requested to give the works a wide berth.

A scheduled service from an assigned pool of Platform Supply Vessels providing supplies to the Offshore Converter Platform & JUV until further notice.  Those nominated vessels are:

• Bos Pool;
• Bos Base;
• Dina Merkur;
• Dina Supporter;
• Dina Supplier;
• Dina Scout;
• Highland Knight

An eight legged jacket with 8 driven pin piles has been installed as a foundation for the OCP followed by the OCP itself.

The Sofia Offshore Wind Farm Boundary Co-ordinates where the works will take place are provided below.  All non-project vessels are requested to remain outside this area.

Mariners are requested to remain where possible 500m from vessels. During these works, SOVs will have restricted manoeuvrability and shall also be exhibiting the correct day shapes/ lights and flag for vessels engaged in diving operations and restricted in ability to manoeuvre.

Emergency Response & Rescue Vessel

The EERV Glomar Baltic is supporting the commissioning phase of the Offshore Converter Platform, providing close standby cover as required during overside works.

Service Operation Vessels

The Service Operations Vessel (SOV) “Purus Power” & Daughter craft “Purus Transporter” continues to support the SOWF project throughout the construction of the offshore windfarm.

The 'SOVs' ACTA Centaurus and Austri Enabler continues operations within the Sofia Array.

SOVs shall be transiting to / from the Sofia Array and the port of Blyth / Sunderland throughout this period.

Crew Transfer Vessel

The Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) Seazip 9 and MHO Gurli continue operations at the Sofia OWF.

All Mariners are advised to always give a wide berth of approx. 500m metres from the above vessels. The vessels shall be exhibiting the correct day signals / night lights for the operations as defined by COLREGS and can be contacted on VHF 16 for further information as required reference proximity / nearby operations etc.

Please be advised that Galloper Windfarm will be carrying out a major component exchange from the Jack Up Vessel (JUV) WIND ENERGY on 5 locations in the north field.

Planned Dates: 7th June 2026 for approximately 2 months - subject to weather

An exclusion zone of 500m is required around the JUV

SSEN Transmission conduct marine surveys to gain information on seabed morphology, installation design, sediment structure and to gain benthic characterisation and habitat mapping.  The survey will be conducted by GEOxyz, on behalf of SSEN Transmission. The surveys are scheduled to commence inside of Yell Sound on 1st of May 2026. It is expected that all survey works will be completed by 15th of June 2026. This survey campaign will include use of the following equipment to develop benthic characterisation and habitat mapping:

Prysmian on behalf of the Eastern Green Link 2 subsea cable project will be conducting geophysical and geotechnical surveys. Survey activities are due to commence on the 7th May 2026, and the surveys are expected to be completed on the 22nd June 2026, subject to weather. 

The ERRV ‘ESVAGT CARPATHIA’ provides relief duties for standby emergency rescue services during thecommissioning phase of the East Anglia THREE Offshore Converter station (OFCS) ‘EA3 OFCS’. The ESVAGT CARPATHIA will be required to cover these duties when the primary Emergency Response Rescue Vessel 'ESVAGT CARTPATHIA' conducts port calls for crew changes and resupplies.

It is currently anticipated that weather permitting, operations will be carried out on an on-demand basis (i.e.weekly, bi-weekly, ad hoc).Arrival and departure plan of the 'ESVAGT CARTPATHIA' will be notified via the East Anglia THREE Weekly Noticeof Operations.Completion of the 'ESVAGT CARTPATHIA’s' work scope will be notified by closure of this Notice to Mariners.All vessels will continuously monitor VHF Channel 16 and VHF DSC Channel 70 throughout operations.It is currently anticipated that weather permitting, works will be carried out on a continuous 24-hour basis,seven days a week, unless notified otherwise.

The ERRV ‘ESVAGT COBRA’ provides standby emergency rescue services during the commissioning phase of the East Anglia THREE Offshore Converter station (OFCS) ‘EA3 OFCS’.  

 ‘ESVAGT COBRA’ will carry out regular transits between East Anglia THREE Windfarm and the port of Lowestoft and is equipped with VHF multi-channel radios and mobile phones.

Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) wish to inform Mariners of the completion of marine works in the near-shore area off Warbeth, Orkney which forms part of the Orkney -Caithness HVAC Link  Project.  The completion of this work includes the installation of two subsea assets in the form of two ducts and associated rock bags approx 1km SW of Warbeth Beach, Orkney and have been placed with in the boundaries of the  4 points and associated coordinates  detailed in the attached NTM. The works have resulted in a reduction in charted water depth. 

 Mariners are advised to stay well clear of the area as detailed until further notice.

THV Patricia has relocated the EA3 East 1 Buoy, EA3 East 2 Buoy, EA3 East Buoy 3 and the EA3 Special 3 Buoy marking the boundary of the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm Array.

The demarcation buoys will remain on station throughout construction of the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm.

East Anglia THREE will be a large offshore wind farm, located 69 km off the Norfolk coast. With a projected capacity of approximately 1400MW, the wind farm shall supply electricity to approximately one million UK homes. Onshore construction for the project started in July 2022. 

By use of multiple specialized offshore vessels,1 Offshore Convertor station (OFCS) & 95 offshore wind turbine generators (WTGs) will be installed within the East Anglia Three site boundary along with the associated inter array and export cables. The generated power will be transmitted via an installed External Cable (EC) from the OFCS to a shore side substation located in Bramford. 

Confirmed Unexploded Ordnance within the East Anglia Three CDM boundaries of the offshore windfarm array and export cable route.

Please be advised that Socotec Land & Hydrographic Surveys Ltd (on behalf of SHEPD) will be undertaking a subsea inspection in the Outer Hebrides marine area.

Please refer to Figure 1 that highlights the location. 

Given the different conditions and water depths anticipated on site, a range of vessels will be available for the project, detailed overleaf. 

The inspection works will be centred on a 50m cable corridor, defined by the start and end coordinates listed in Table 1.  

Mariners are advised to exercise caution in the vicinity of the identified locations and to avoid anchoring directly over the affected area. Additionally, mariners are advised to maintain a safe distance from the vessel, Glomar Wave, while it is conducting UXO target investigations. A 500m Exclusion Zone around the UXO position has been enacted. Mariners are advised to observe this measure to ensure safe navigation and to avoid any potential hazards.

The Marine Characterisation Research Project (MCRP) is an innovative research and development project that will ensure the safe phased deployment of tidal energy turbines in the Morlais Demonstration Zone (MDZ). Working with a team of experts, the project have developed an Environmental Monitoring and Mitigation Plan to safeguard marine wildlife. The findings will be made available for future marine renewable energy projects to enable the growth of tidal stream energy.The aim of the project is to facilitate environmental data collection, and support research and development of turbine centred monitoring and mitigation devices. The knowledge gained will enable the safeguarding of wildlife during the development of the MDZ.To best exploit the opportunity available to gather valuable and relevant information, the MCRP procured a scientific lidar research buoy, upon which the MCRP deployed data collection equipment, in order to gather baseline data from the MDZ and test the equipment.Following a successful refit in the port of Holyhead during November 2024, the Marius buoy has been redeployed in the Morlais zone for a further 18-month period of data collection.As this period of research and development comes to a close, the MCRP wish to notify you of the demobilisation of the Marinus buoy circa early April, weather dependent.

Introduction 

Mariners are advised that a geotechnical survey is planned for the Eastern Green Link 5 (EGL 5) project. The marine survey activities for EGL 5 are planned to commence on the 23rd of November 2025 in English waters working north and are expected to complete around the middle of  June 2026. 

SSEN Transmission and National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) are working together to address the need for increased capacity within the transmission network between Scotland and England. EGL5 will help provide increased capacity, carrying up to 2 GW of electricity, enough for two million homes. This will be achieved through a High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) cable connection between Aberdeenshire and Lincolnshire. The EGL 5 geotechnical survey works are being carried out by Ocean Infinity Limited and Geoforce. 

The area of work, pertaining to this Notice to Mariners (NtM) for EGL 5, is highlighted in Figure 1, with the survey vessels contact details for the project found in Table 1. Contact details for the project Fisheries Liaison Officers are detailed below. 

Please note, this survey will be able to operate around static fishing gear. Therefore, fishing gear clearance is not being requested.

The geotechnical survey works are being carried out by Ocean Infinity Limited and Geoforce using the following vessels:

Survey vessel: A7803 (IMO 9924261; MMSI 563175900; Call Sign 9V8529)

The CNODE Maxi Acoustic Transponder Beacon was initally left in-situ on the 13/05/2026 with the intention to recover it. A recovery attempt was made on 18/05/2026 however, only the floater device surfaced. The beacon remains on/near the seabed.

Initial dropped object form submitted to all necessary parties on 13/05/2026 and updated form sent on 18/05/2026 following unsuccessful recovery.

Beacon dimensions:

• Length = 880mm
• Diameter = 150-160mm
• Weight (in air) = 35.5kg

All vessels are advised to navigate with caution and keep clear of the provided positions by a 300m radius. 

The vessel will be operating 24 hours per day and operating from the Port of Ijmuiden & Great Yarmouth throughout this period. 

The vessel shall be monitoring VHF 16 with further vessel details included within the attached NtM. 

Following the commencement of the EGL2 nearshore English geotechnical investigation (GI) campaign along the EGL2 survey corridor, SSENT and NGET are advising Mariners of the loss of three CPT (cone penetration test) cones from the NG Driller within Notice to Mariners – Block 1 – Nearshore Surveys.

Prysmian are conducting Offshore Geophysical and Geotechnical surveys on behalf of the Eastern Green Link 2 subsea electricity transmission cable project. Please find vessel details and contact information in the attached notice, as well as contact details for the fisheries liaison team. 

The marine survey will be undertaken by GeoXYZ who are due to commence marine surveys on 21th May 2025. The scope of work comprises:

·        Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Investigation Surveys (Magnetometer); and

·        Geotechnical Cone Penetration Testing (CPTs) and Vibrocores.

The UXO works are investigative in nature and are being carried out for the identification of potential UXO targets only. No UXO detonation or disposal activities will be undertaken as part of this programme.

Re-surveyed March 26

Please be advised that Jan De Nul Luxembourg S.A. shall be undertaking pre-lay bathymetric survey, 3rd party crossing identification; and subject to licensing, mattresses installation and subsea boulder relocation for the Skye-Uist Replacement project. This in preparation of installation of two new subsea power cables. One between Loch Pooltiel on the Isle of Skye and Loch Carnan on the Isle of South Uist and the other one between Ardmore on the Isle of Skye and Loch Pooltiel on Isle of Skye.

Scope of Works: As part of Rampion’s requirements to satisfy the terms of the Deemed Marine License Order, Rampion will be carrying out post construction benthic ecology surveys at locations around the wind farm as shown below. The surveys are due to start on the 16th of May pending weather accessibility. 

Benthic Grab Sampling: A total of 28 grab samples shall be collected at locations around the windfarm and cable route at locations shown in figure 1 below and in appendix A. 

Drop Down Video: Drop Down Video surveys will be carried out across 15 transects, primarily along the cable route, however, a number of transects are located within the main windfarm area.  

The coordinates of the video transects are captured below in Appendix B. It is kindly request that fishing gear is moved from the transect lines so that quick and effective surveys can be completed. 

A follow up NTM will be issued once works are completed. 

All mariners and stakeholders are advised that Inch Cape shall commence construction support activities.

The multi purpose offshore vessel, Siem Barracuda shall support several foundation component completion work scopes. The vessel shall transfer technicians to foundation structures utilising it’s walk to work system, crew transfer vessels will also support these activities.

Siem Barracuda is expected to arrive at the wind farm site on or around the 21st of May to commence operations which will continue for several months, vessel detail in the attached Notice to Mariners

Njord Survey will carry out a non-intrusive marine survey along two offshore cable route sections between 21 May and mid-June 2026. The survey will use vessel-mounted multibeam echosounder (MBES) to collect seabed bathymetry and towed side-scan sonar, towed up to 200 m behind the vessel, to collect seabed imagery. Environmental observations will also be carried out at 12 stations using a drop-down camera system. 

Mariners are requested to observe a safe working distance of 500m when the Connector is performing geotechnical investigations of Cone Penetrating Tests, Seismic Cone Penetrating Tests and Vibrocoring at Awel y Môr Offshore Wind Farm. It is also requested that mariners observe a distance of at least 500m when Connector is manoeuvring into position for the safety of all sea users operating within the wind farm, and to ensure Connector can safely position itself without negative interactions with sea users or their equipment

There is an an intermediate peripheral structure within the Beatrice windfarm with a marine lantern that is unlit.

This structure (BE-D11) is on the Western boundry of the Beatrice windfarm.

Mariners are requested to observe a safe working distance of 1000m when the Ramform Vanguard is performing towed survey activities at Awel y Môr Offshore Wind Farm. It is also requested that mariners observe a distance of at least 500m when Ramform Vanguard is manoeuvring into position for the safety of all sea users operating within the wind farm, and to ensure Ramform Vanguard can safely position itself without negative interactions with sea users or their equipment. The towed equipment extends approximately 350m behind the stern.

Please be advised that Socotec Land & Hydrographic Surveys (on behalf of SHEPD) will be undertaking subsea inspections across the Argyll & Bute Marine area. Please refer to Figure 1 - Figure 5 that highlights each cable location.  Given the different conditions and water depths anticipated at each site, a range of vessels will be available for the project, detailed overleaf.

  Please be advised that Socotec Land & Hydrographic Surveys (on behalf of SHEPD) will be undertaking subsea inspections across the West Highland marine areas. Please refer to Figure 1 - Figure 4 that highlights each cable location.  Given the different conditions and water depths anticipated at each site, a range of vessels will be available for the project, detailed overleaf.  The inspection works will be centred on a 50m cable corridor, defined by the start and end coordinates listed in Table 1.  

A total of 32 construction boundary demarcation buoys will remain in location until the windfarm construction activities have been completed and handed over to the Operations and Maintenance teams.

Once the permanent Aids to Navigation (AtoN) have been installed on the WTGs, Trinity House will approve the permanent AtoN and the boundary buoys will be removed.

If anyone finds a buoy that is off station or encounters a buoy location where it is not functioning or is missing, they should report this to the Dogger Bank Duty Marine Coordinator as soon as possible.

Please be advised that Briggs Marine Contractors (on behalf of SHEPD) will be conducting ROV surveys and installing additional subsea cable protection between Coll and Tiree. 

The cable protection installation will take place with the CBS Hurricane and will consist of a ROV survey and Diving operations.

Work DescriptionDuring operations the CBS Hurricane vessel will be restricted in their ability to manoeuvre due to ROV and Diving operations taking place. Whilst operations will seek to minimise disruption on the width ofthe main navigation channel, some disruption may be unavoidable during operations within the working corridor.

Operations will be conducted over 12 hours and are weather/tide dependent.

Should any vessel wish to come within 500m of the vessels, then direct communication with the Master / Operator is required. Vessels will display the appropriate lights/day shapes for their operations.

A marine geotechnical survey is due to be undertaken for the proposed Morecambe Offshore Wind Farm project. The survey will be carried out from one survey vessel, FUGRO VOYAGER, and will involve geotechnical investigations to assist with the development of design for the Morecambe Offshore Wind Farm project.

Clump weight is 2500kg, approximately 0.75m^3 and lies <1m on the seabed.

ROV Inspections of foundations across 18 WTG locations.

Galloper NtM 07-2026  Confirmed Cable Exposure within Galloper Windfarm 28 locations identified following SubSea Surveys in 2025 / 2026

The metocean instrumentation was intended to be deployed at 4 locations along the proposed Morven wind farm export cable route. The now cancelled deployment locations are shown in Section 2 with charts included in Section 3.  Equipment associated with this survey included seabed frames, metocean instrumentation, ground lines and secondary anchor weights. 

The superceded NtM (Morven_NtM 007_v02 Cable Route_ Metocean Intrumentation_ Deployment) has been attached to this notice for reference alongside the updated NtM (Morven_NtM 007_v03 Cable Route_ Metocean Instrumentation_ Deployment). 

The CSOV ‘GRAMPIAN EAGLE’ will provide accommodation and Walk-to-Work access during the commissioning phase of the East Anglia THREE Offshore Converter station (OFCS).  

‘GRAMPIAN EAGLE’ will perform crew transfers and deliver supplies to the East Anglia THREE Offshore Converter station (OFCS)  and the jack-up vessel ‘JB 120’ (as long as installed next to the OFCS). 

‘GRAMPIAN EAGLE’ will make regular transits between the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm and the port of Lowestoft (UK). The vessel is equipped with VHF multi-channel radios and mobile phones. 

It is currently anticipated that weather permitting, operations will be carried out on a continuous basis (i.e. weekly, bi-weekly, on request) for the duration of circa 2.5 months. Crew change will be carried out every 14 days either by helicopter, CTV or port call. 

Completion of works will be notified by closure of this notice to mariners, weekly updates of vessel movements will be notified via EA3 Weekly Notice Of Operations. 

Mariners are advised that a marine geophysical survey will be conducted in offshore areas and coastal sea waters between Shipwash East offshore area the Outer Pegwell Bay, Ramsgate, Kent in the corridor as shown in Figure 1 of the NtM.  

The survey is being undertaken on behalf of National Grid’s Sea Link Project. 

The survey campaign is planned to on the approximately 17th April and extend throughout June, depending on weather conditions, but may be subject to change. 

A service has been completed on the Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) Stations that have been deployed on the seabed, in and at locations around the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm Area.  A total of eleven PAM stations have been re-deployed, two of which are marked by surface buoys. 

The PAM stations will remain on the seabed until approximately 31/10/2027, 9 deployed PAM stations have a 12 m height above the seabed, a weight of 600 kg and their location is not marked by a surface buoy. Two deployed PAM stations are marked by surface buoys, each anchored to the seabed by two 2 tonne anchor mooring weights.

The PAM stations will be serviced periodically with information distributed via future Notice to Mariners. There is an exclusion zone of 250m around each PAM Station, Marine traffic is advised to maintain the safety zone and navigate with caution at all times. 

Cable laying operations will continue to be conducted within the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm by CLV Seaway Phoenix. The vessels will install subsea cables between WTGs and the Offshore Converter Station (OFCS). The Grand Canyon 3 will conduct trenching and burial operations supporting the Cable-Laying operation. During cable deployment, trenching & burial, both the vessels will be restricted in their ability to manoeuvre.The Seaway Phoenix will carry out cable laying activities, and be supported by the Seaway Moxie & Windea Clausius, which will both undertake equipment and personnel transfers to WTGs and the OFCS via a Walk to Work (W2W) gangway system. While conducting these transfers, the Seaway Moxie & Windea Clausius will also be restricted in manoeuvrability.

Please be advised that Moray Offshore Windfarm (East) Limited (Moray East) are planning as part of the annual operations and maintenance of assets, general visual inspection of the asset foundations (Table 1 and Figure 1). Asset foundation inspections will be carried out by the Voe Vanguard which is expected to be on site from 20th April to 25 July 2026. Works will be completed at all 100 WTG within the red boundary in Figure 1.

Please be aware that, during the survey activities, by virtue of its mode of operation the vessel (Voe Vanguard) will be Restricted in her Ability to Manoeuvre (RAM) as defined under COLREGs (International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972, Rule 3). Masters of vessels are therefore requested to maintain their vessels and gears at a minimum safe passing distance from the vessel of 500 metres when it is undertaking work and showing the appropriate shapes and lights in accordance with COLREGs Rule 27.In order to not compromise the safety of the Survey Vessel, their crew, and their ability to undertake its contracted works, fishermen who have static fishing gears deployed within 500 m from the WTG where survey activities are planned (see Table 1 and Figure 1) are requested to provide the coordinates of such deployed gears in DMS and details of whether the surface markers used are visible at all states of visibility to Alex Winrow-Griffin (Brown & May Marine) using the contact information below (Section 58 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995).Fishermen who have static gears deployed beyond 12 nm are reminded that static gear must be marked in accordance with Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 404/2011 (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/marking-of-fishing-gear-retrieval-and-notification-of-lost-gear#marking-of-fishing-gear)

Program Schedule:The IWS Windwalker will mobilise at the Port of Lowestoft, with first commissioning activitiesanticipated to start around 18/03/202

The CTVs will mobilise at the Port of Lowestoft and support the IWS Windwalker throughout thecampaign.

WTG installation is expected to be completed end of Q4 2026.

*Servicing Operations

Servicing of the acoustic monitoring stations will take place from week commencing 30 March 2026, subject to weather conditions.

Operations will involve service vessels working at or near station positions for short durations during suitable weather windows.

Mariners are advised to exercise caution in the vicinity of these positions during active operations.

Some primary aims of the SubSea Soundscape project are;

To support a new Marine mammal evidence base for the Celtic Sea.

To create a region wide acoustic soundscape model and open-source baseline acoustic data of the Celtic Sea integrating new S3 data and other secured acoustic data sources.

To Co-develop road maps for the use of acoustic soundscape models for consenting.

Navigation Advice

Equipment is fully subsurface and presents no hazard to surface navigation.

Trawling, dredging, or seabed gear deployment in the vicinity of marked positions could be avoided to reduce risk of entanglement or equipment damage.

Total vertical height of unit: approx. 5 m above seabed.

Minimum clearance above highest point: 55 m in shallowest locations. 

Each acoustic monitoring system will comprise: 

• Acoustic release system

• Fish tag detection system (69 kHz)

• Broadband hydrophone and cetacean click-train logger

• Mooring frame with integrated components

The 17 construction boundary demarcation buoys will remain in location until the windfarm construction activities have been completed and handed over to the Operations and Maintenance teams.

Once the permanent Aids to Navigation (AtoN) have been installed on the WTGs, Trinity House will approve the permanent AtoN and the boundary buoys will be removed.

On behalf of Inch Cape Offshore Ltd, Seaway 7 shall commence the installation of 54 WTG foundation transition piece components.

The transition pieces will be transported from the Port of Leith to the Inch Cape site and installed by the heavy lift vessel Seaway Alfa Lift.

Alfa Lift is expected to arrive at the Inch Cape site on or around the 17th of March to commence installation which will continue for several months, further details are in the attached notice to mariners.

Wind Osprey and Wind Pace will install 95 WTGs

Installed WTGs shall be marked with the following aids to navigation:

Lights

• Fl Y 2.5s light (visible through 360°)
•  Minimum 2 nm range

Partially constructed monopiles shall be marked with the following aids to navigation where a transition piece has not been installed:

• A substantial amount of wire remains buried beyond each of the location ends detailed below.

• The steel wire rope sections are assumed to be remnants of discarded trawl wire or anchor cable and are now partially exposed above seabed level.
• The wire does not pose a hazard to general navigation.
• However, it may present a risk to small vessels when anchoring or operating gear near the seabed.
• A substantial amount of wire remains buried beyond each of the location ends detailed below.

The works will commence around the 21st of February 2026 continuing until approximately Q2 2027.  The works will be continuous, 24 hours a day.  A chart of the DBB construction area boundary coordinates and a table of WTG location coordinates is provided below. A running list of the completed WTG installations and the next locations to be installed is presented in the Weekly Notice of Operations.

During operations, the Voltaire will be restricted in its ability to manoeuvre as defined under COLREGs (International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972) and will display the appropriate day shapes and lights. The vessel will also transmit an Automatic Identification System (AIS) message. 

During operations, a Statutory Safety zone of 500m radius will be in place around the Voltaire during the installation of WTGs

Seaway 7 deployed a Wave Rider Buoy on the 01/05/2025 within the boundary of the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm Array during the Monopile Noise monitoring campaign as referenced in EA3 NTM 026 - 2025 Monopile Installation (Noise Monitoring Buoy Deployment). The Wave rider Buoy will remain on station until the end of the project.

The Wave Rider Buoy is equipped with a flashing yellow light and has a range of four nautical miles.

Recovery and/or periodic maintenance of the Wave Rider Buoy will be notified via future Notice to Mariners

Positions for both North & South weather buoys are identified in the attached Notice To Mariners 005 -2025. There will be periodic maintenance for both weather buoys during construction of EA3.

There is an exclusion zone of 100m around the weather buoys, mariners are  advised to abide by the 100m safety zone and navigate with caution at all times.

Norside Supporter Will be Bolting and Grouting 95 monopiles and transition pieces at the WTG locations set out in section 2.2 of this document. It is currently anticipated that weather permitting, offshore works will be carried out on a continuous basis (i.e. 24-hour working, seven days a week)

OverviewMariners are advised that North Falls Offshore Wind Farm (NFOWF) will undertake a metocean survey within the Wind Turbine Array Area, at the Primary and Secondary locations shown in Table 1 and Figure 2.

Survey Duration Mobilisation will commence on or after 18 February 2026, with the metocean survey lasting between 12 and 18months. The planned survey end date will be no later than 16 August 2027.

Survey Tasks The metocean survey work is being undertaken by Partrac, who will use the vessel CT Vector to deploy the metocean equipment at the Primary and Secondary locations shown in Table 1 and Figure 2. It is expected that the deployment operation will last for one day.

The metocean equipment will consist of one seabed frame deployed at each location (i.e., a total of two seabed frames). Each seabed frame will be equipped with an acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) and additional sensors (temperature sensor, water-level sensor, and turbidity sensor). Each seabed frame will be connected to a clump weight, with approximately 100 m leaded polypropylene ground line between the seabed frame and clump weight.

As a consequence of equipment being deployed, all mariners are advised to keep a safe clearance distance of no less than 500 m from the deployment vessel and metocean equipment deployment locations. No towed survey equipment will be deployed from the vessel.

CTV - HST Tynemouth supporting service operations over the summer months commencing 1st March 2026 

Vessels shall be monitoring channel VHF 16 and shall be displaying the relevant day shapes / night lights when restricted in its ability to manoeuvre.

Mariners are requested to refrain from entering and transiting through the construction area as demarcated by these demarcation buoys. 

The table below provides a summary of each Cardinal and Special Mark Buoy deployed at the SOWF array, including target coordinates in WGS84 Degrees Decimal Minutes and a description of top mark and lantern characteristics. The Demarcation Buoys will be deployed for a period of approximately three years.  

The table below provides a summary of the Met-ocean Buoys deployed at the SOWF Array.

The table below provides detail of Seabed Met-Ocean Buoy Moorings that remain in place at SOWF (Excluding Buoy).

The works will be performed in a single campaign, commencing on the 7th of December 2025 and continuing until approximately Q4 2026. The works will be continuous, 24 hours a day. The operations will include visual inspections and remedial maintenance at the Offshore Substation Platform (OSP) and at installed WTG foundation locations. During operations, the IWS Sun Walker will be restricted in its ability to manoeuvre as defined under COLREGs (International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972) and will display the appropriate day shapes and lights. The vessel will also transmit an Automatic Identification System (AIS) message. It is requested that all vessels maintain a minimum of 500m separation distance from the SOV and pass at reduced speed. Fishing gear or other equipment with seabed intervention should not be deployed when approaching the working area.
