Surveys - LirIC Interconnector Project



Mariners are advised of forthcoming marine survey works associated with the LirIC Interconnector Project. TI LirIC Limited is undertaking this survey in relation to a proposed interconnector between Kilroot in Northern Ireland and Hunterston in Scotland.


The marine survey will be undertaken by GeoXYZ who are due to commence marine surveys on 21th May 2025. The scope of work comprises:

·        Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Investigation Surveys (Magnetometer); and

·        Geotechnical Cone Penetration Testing (CPTs) and Vibrocores.

 

The UXO works are investigative in nature and are being carried out for the identification of potential UXO targets only. No UXO detonation or disposal activities will be undertaken as part of this programme.

Geophysical Survey IFA2 Offshore



Please be advised that on behalf of National Grid Ventures, Fugro is planning to conduct a geophysical survey in the North Sea from the nearshore limit of the IFA2 cable south of East Borough Head, (50° 38.4’N 000° 48.9’ W) and extending south offshore to the French border. The survey works shall be conducted by the Fugro Frontier utilising multibeam echosounder and towed sidescan sonar.


The survey will involve the full coverage of dedicated survey lines with a geophysical survey system multibeam echo sounder and towed Sidescan Sonar.

As the Fugro Frontier will be line keeping, the vessel may require large turning circles and will be restricted in their ability to manoeuvre.

All vessels operating within this area are requested to keep their distance, maintaining at least the 500m safety zone around the survey vessel, and pass at minimum speed to reduce vessel wash.

A continuous listening watch will be conducted on VHF Channel 16.

Boulder Clearance Campaign - Norfolk Vanguard West



Mariners are advised that the Olympic Electra is expected to commence a boulder clearance campaign on / or around 26th May 2026, operationg within the Vanguard West (VGW) Array and the Vanguard West Export Cable Corridor for approximately 3 calendar months.


The vessel will be operating 24 hours per day and operating from the Port of Ijmuiden & Great Yarmouth throughout this period. 

The vessel shall be monitoring VHF 16 with further vessel details included within the attached NtM.

Operation of remotely piloted Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) are planned in the Dutch North Sea sector, during April to June 2026. The vessels will be engaged in survey activities relating to offshore infrastructure for the following offshore windfarms (OWF’s): Prinses Amaliawindpark Eneco Luchterduinen Borssele III, IV Borssele V Hollandse Kust Noord


Activity:

Operation of remotely piloted Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) are planned in the Dutch North Sea sector, during April to June 2026. The vessels will be engaged in survey activities within the following offshore windfarms (OWF’s).

In addition to the survey areas outlined above, the USVs will transit from/to the prots of  Ijmuiden, Netherlands and Neeltje Jans, Netherlands.

Mode of Operation:

Although the USV are uncrewed, they are managed throughout the 24 hour operation, piloted remotely using 360 degree cameras and other navigational aids. The USV sends real time images and situational awareness data over satellite to a team of operators keeping watch and controlling the vessel remotely 24/7. A support vessel will escort the USV from the active ports to clear water. Seafarers are asked to avoid contact with the vessel and be aware of the operational area during this period. 

Safety Precautions: The USV is equipped with the following to make it conspicuous to other marine traffic:

  • Navigation Lights & Sound Signal
  • Active Radar Reflector
  • Superstructure Painted Yellow

A UXO was found and is currently sitting in position 51'57.924'N 001'56.122'E as per NTM. This is inside the Greater Gabbard windfarm - we have no plans to remove/ move/ detonate. Scottish Hydro Electric Power DIstribution Skye-Uist Replacement



The working area that will be required for the duration of the route clearance activities is defined as a corridor ±250 m (± meaning “either side”) around the future cable route center line seaward from 10m water depth.


Please be advised that Jan De Nul Luxembourg S.A. shall be undertaking pre-lay bathymetric survey, 3rd party crossing identification; and subject to licensing, mattresses installation and subsea boulder relocation for the Skye-Uist Replacement project. This in preparation of installation of two new subsea power cables. One between Loch Pooltiel on the Isle of Skye and Loch Carnan on the Isle of South Uist and the other one between Ardmore on the Isle of Skye and Loch Pooltiel on Isle of Skye.

HVAC Link Project - Orkney Caithness



Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) wish to inform Mariners of the completion of marine works in the near-shore area off Warbeth, Orkney which forms part of the Orkney -Caithness HVAC Link Project. As a result two subsea structures are now located on the sea bed and pose a hazard.


Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) wish to inform Mariners of the completion of marine works in the near-shore area off Warbeth, Orkney which forms part of the Orkney -Caithness HVAC Link  Project.  The completion of this work includes the installation of two subsea assets in the form of two ducts and associated rock bags approx 1km SW of Warbeth Beach, Orkney and have been placed with in the boundaries of the  4 points and associated coordinates  detailed in the attached NTM. The works have resulted in a reduction in charted water depth. 

 Mariners are advised to stay well clear of the area as detailed until further notice.

MBES Survey - Orkney HVAC HDD Dounreay



As part of the Orkney HVAC Project, SSEN will be undertaking MBES surveys off the coast of Dounreay as part of the Orkney HVAC Project.


Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSENT) will be as part of the Orkney HVAC Project will be undertaking MBES surveys  approx 0.31NM  off the coast of Dounreay  as detailed in the attached NTM. 

The vessel undertaking the surveys will be the C-SPARTAN. Vessels are requested to maintain a safe distance of 400 meters from the stated coordinates submitted.

Geophysical Survey - Dogger Bank Windfarm and Export cable



On behalf of Dogger Bank Offshore Wind Farm, XOCEAN will be carrying out an MBES geophysical survey within Dogger Bank A, Dogger Bank B and Dogger Bank C array area and in addition Export Cable Routes from landfall to DBA and DBB sites using remotely piloted Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs).


The USVs will be mobilised from Scarborough where each USV will be escorted out of the harbour limits, before transiting to the survey area. Survey Operations will be continuous 24hrs a day. Although vessels are uncrewed, they are managed remotely continuously using 360-degree cameras and other sensors.

 The works will commence on the 21/05/2026, continuing until 31/07/2026 when all locations have been surveyed. The works will be continuous, 24 hours a day. A chart of the DBA, DBB and DBC Array Area including bounding coordinates is provided below. It is to be noted that we are surveying all Inter Array Cables (IAC) within DBA, Inter Array Cables (IAC) within DBB, all asset locations within DBC (95 x WTG’s and 1 x OSP) and the Export Cable route from DBA/DBB array areas to the landfall site south of Bridlington near Ulrome.

 It is requested that all vessels maintain a minimum of 500m separation distance from the USVs and pass at reduced speed.

Notice to Mariners: Rampion Benthic Ecological Surveys 2026



As part of Rampion’s requirements to satisfy the terms of the Deemed Marine License Order, Rampion will be carrying out post construction benthic ecology surveys at locations around the wind farm as shown below. The surveys are due to start on the 16th of May pending weather accessibility.

Benthic Grab Sampling: A total of 28 grab samples shall be collected at locations around the windfarm and cable route at locations shown in figure 1 below and in appendix A. 

Drop Down Video: Drop Down Video surveys will be carried out across 15 transects, primarily along the cable route, however, a number of transects are located within the main windfarm area.  

The coordinates of the video transects are captured below in Appendix B. It is kindly request that fishing gear is moved from the transect lines so that quick and effective surveys can be completed. 

A follow up NTM will be issued once works are completed.

Pre-Installation Survey Campaign 4 - East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm area



Mariners are advised that circa the 21/04/2026, Geo Ocean IV will conduct a Pre-Installation Survey Campaign within the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm area. During the period of Pre-Installation Survey, all vessels are requested to keep a 500m safety distance from the Geo Ocean IV at all times.


GEOxyz will utilise the ‘Geo Ocean IV' to perform a Pre-Installation Survey within the East Anglia Three Offshore Windfarm. 

The vessel will conduct Multibeam Echo Sounder (MBES) and Side Scan Sonar (SSS) surveys of the WTG foundation locations, at a radius of 170m. 

The Multibeam Echo Sounder is hull mounted and the Side Scan Sonar is towed from the stern of the vessel at a height of 6.5m to 10m above the seabed. 

Geo Ocean IV is expected to mobilize from the port of ‘Lowestoft or Great Yarmouth’ circa the 21/04/2026. It is anticipated that the campaign will last approximately 15 days, the end of the campaign will be communicated by closure of this notice to mariners. 

Geo Ocean IV will monitor VHF Channel 16 and VHF DSC Channel 70 continuously throughout the operation. It is currently anticipated that weather permitting, works will be carried out on a continuous basis (i.e.,24- hour working, seven days a week) unless notified otherwise.

Planned hydrographic, geophysical and environmental survey from 21 May to mid-June 2026, covering two offshore cable route sections using MBES, towed side-scan sonar and drop-down camera equipment.


Njord Survey will carry out a non-intrusive marine survey along two offshore cable route sections between 21 May and mid-June 2026. The survey will use vessel-mounted multibeam echosounder (MBES) to collect seabed bathymetry and towed side-scan sonar, towed up to 200 m behind the vessel, to collect seabed imagery. Environmental observations will also be carried out at 12 stations using a drop-down camera system.

Geotechnical survey – Array Area - Awel y Môr Offshore Wind Farm



All mariners are advised that Connector will be carrying out geotechnical survey works at Awel y Môr Offshore Wind Farm from 16th of May until 20th of June 2026. These dates are subject to weather and sea conditions. Specific coordinates of locations where works occur are found below.


Mariners are requested to observe a safe working distance of 500m when the Connector is performing geotechnical investigations of Cone Penetrating Tests, Seismic Cone Penetrating Tests and Vibrocoring at Awel y Môr Offshore Wind Farm. It is also requested that mariners observe a distance of at least 500m when Connector is manoeuvring into position for the safety of all sea users operating within the wind farm, and to ensure Connector can safely position itself without negative interactions with sea users or their equipment

There will be a short programme of work (approximately 24 hours excluding weather) at the Kincardine Field. The work will be inside the wind farm area and close to the floating assets. The scope of the operations is: A debris and bathy survey. Survey vessel will be EDT Hercules. The work was expected to start in early May but is rescheduled to week commencing 18 May 2026.

Offshore Converter Platform Commissioning Works - Sofia Offshore Windfarm



Mariners are advised that the Valaris 248 is positioned alongside the Offshore Converter Platform supporting the ongoing commissioning programme. The Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) “Seazip 9” and ERRV "Glomar Baltic" commenced operations at the Sofia offshore windfarm. The RRRV “Putford Jaguar” completed operations at the Sofia OWF.


A scheduled service from an assigned pool of Platform Supply Vessels providing supplies to the Offshore Converter Platform & JUV until further notice.  Those nominated vessels are:

  • Bos Pool;
  • Bos Base;
  • Dina Merkur;
  • Dina Supporter;
  • Dina Supplier;
  • Dina Scout;
  • Highland Knight

An eight legged jacket with 8 driven pin piles has been installed as a foundation for the OCP followed by the OCP itself.

The Sofia Offshore Wind Farm Boundary Co-ordinates where the works will take place are provided below.  All non-project vessels are requested to remain outside this area.

Mariners are requested to remain where possible 500m from vessels. During these works, SOVs will have restricted manoeuvrability and shall also be exhibiting the correct day shapes/ lights and flag for vessels engaged in diving operations and restricted in ability to manoeuvre.

Emergency Response & Rescue Vessel

The EERV Glomar Baltic is supporting the commissioning phase of the Offshore Converter Platform, providing close standby cover as required during overside works.

Service Operation Vessels

The Service Operations Vessel (SOV) “Purus Power” & Daughter craft “Purus Transporter” continues to support the SOWF project throughout the construction of the offshore windfarm.

The 'SOVs' ACTA Centaurus and Austri Enabler continues operations within the Sofia Array.

SOVs shall be transiting to / from the Sofia Array and the port of Blyth / Sunderland throughout this period.

Crew Transfer Vessel

The Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) and MHO Gurli continue operations at the Sofia OWF.

All Mariners are advised to always give a wide berth of approx. 500m metres from the above vessels. The vessels shall be exhibiting the correct day signals / night lights for the operations as defined by COLREGS and can be contacted on VHF 16 for further information as required reference proximity / nearby operations etc.

SSEN Transmission and National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) are working together to address the need for increased capacity within the transmission network between Scotland and England. EGL5 will help provide increased capacity, carrying up to 2 GW of electricity, enough for two million homes. This will be achieved through a High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) cable connection between Aberdeenshire and Lincolnshire.The EGL 5 geophysical survey works are being carried out by Ocean Infinity Limited.The area of work, pertaining to this Notice to Mariners (NtM) for EGL 5, is highlighted in Figure 1, with the survey vessels contact details for the project found in Table 1. Survey Activities: XOCEAN is planning the collection of geophysical data using remotely piloted Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) along a proposed cable route corridor in Orkney, from the islands of Sanday to North Ronaldsay.


Survey Activities: XOCEAN is planning the collection of geophysical data using remotely piloted Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) along a proposed cable route corridor in Orkney, from the islands of Sanday to North Ronaldsay. The USVs are expected to operate out of Eday for the full survey duration. A mix of USVs with both hull mounted survey sensors (Multibeam Echosounders & Sub-Bottom Profilers) and also towed sensors (SideScan Sonar & Magnetometer) through the water in proximity of the seabed will be used. A crewed Support Vessel will be chartered throughout the survey to support the USVs with departures and arrivals from Eday and assist in towing them back in if a technical issue occurs. 

Dates/Duration: Operations commenced on 13 April 2026. It is expected that the survey activities shall be completed by 15th June 2026 (subject to weather). 

Survey Area: Figure 1 below indicates the operational area which is shown by the darker green area. This is outlined in Table 1 below also.

Global Marine Systems Limited (GMSL), on behalf of SHEFA, will be undertaking the installation of the SHEFA-2 Fibre Optic Cable system in the North Sea. Operations are anticipated to take place in Q2 2026. The vessels, CS Sovereign and Glomar Supporter, will be undertaking underwater activities in the area and mariners should exercise caution and communicate with the vessel.


 

Mariners are advised that Global Marine Systems Limited (GMSL), on behalf of SHEFA, will be undertaking the installation of the SHEFA-2 Fibre Optic Cable system in the North Sea. Operations are anticipated to take place in Q2 2026.

The vessels, CS Sovereign and Glomar Supporter, are undertaking underwater activities in the area and mariners should exercise caution and communicate with the vessel. 

The vessels will be limited in manoeuvrability therefore, vessels working in the area should proceed with caution within 1NM from the cable ships during operations and all activity should remain clear 250m either side of the vessels, 500m corridor in total.

Geotechnical Survey Operations - Eastern Green Link 5 Project



Mariners are advised that a geotechnical survey is planned for the Eastern Green Link 5 (EGL 5) project. The marine survey activities for EGL 5 are planned to commence on the 23rd of November 2025 and are expected to complete approximately June 2026. This has been updated to include nearshore works in Lincolnshire.


SSEN Transmission and National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) are working together to address the need for increased capacity within the transmission network between Scotland and England. EGL5 will help provide increased capacity, carrying up to 2 GW of electricity, enough for two million homes. This will be achieved through a High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) cable connection between Aberdeenshire and Lincolnshire.

The EGL 5 geotechnical survey works are being carried out by Ocean Infinity Limited.

The area of work, pertaining to this Notice to Mariners (NtM) for EGL 5, is highlighted in Figure 1, with the survey vessels contact details for the project found in Table 1. Contact details for the project Fisheries Liaison Officers are detailed in the attached NtM.

Please note, this survey will be able to operate around static fishing gear. Therefore, fishing gear clearance is not being requested.

Navigational Safety Advice:

Vessels are requested to pass at a safe speed and distance and fishing vessels are advised to remain a safe distance, approximately 550m (0.3 nautical miles) from the areas identified. During these works the vessel will have restricted manoeuvrability as it completes its work scope.

VHF CH 16 will be monitored at all times and will be used to contact the coastguard in the event of an emergency.

The geotechnical survey works are being carried out by Ocean Infinity Limited and Geoforce using the following vessels:

North Sea Link Nearshore Survey



Please be advised that on behalf of National Grid Ventures, Fugro is planning to conduct a geophysical survey in the North Sea from the nearshore limit of the North Sea Link cable at 0m LAT north of Blyth, Lincolnshire, (55° 09.5’N 001° 31.3’W) and extending 5km offshore to the 20m LAT contour. This survey will be conducted by the Fugro Seeker


Phase 1 of the survey will involve the full coverage of dedicated survey lines with a geophysical survey system multibeam echo sounder.

Phase 2 of the survey will involve drop down camera environmental assessment.

During both phases of the survey the Fugro Seeker will be slow moving and with limited manoeuvrability.

Other vessels are requested to maintain an appropriate and safe distance of 500m when passing the Fugro Seeker.

The Fugro Seeker operates on a 12h basis during daylight hours.

All Mariners are advised that the SGRE Vessel “Wind Peak” continues Wind Turbine (WTG) Generator installation at the Sofia Array. The vessel will also be supported by ongoing commissioning activities carried out with the following SGRE Vessels: “IWS SeaWalker”, “FOB Swath 9” & “FOB Swath 10”. The Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) “Seazip 9” commenced operations, supporting the operations & maintenance of the offshore windfarm.

Geotechnical Campaign - Berwick Bank Wind Farm



Mariners are advised that SSE Renewables will be returning to Berwick Bank Wind Farm area to continue geotechnical survey work. The survey will be within the Berwick Bank Wind Farm site boundary.


16/04/2026 UPDATE – additional guard vessels are now included within the c. 21 day guard vessel rotation, please see refer to the updated PDF for vessel details.  

 

It should be noted that SSE Renewables are not expecting fishers to relocate gear - on this occasion the vessels will aim to work around any gear on location. A scouting/guard vessel will also be contracted to operate ahead of the survey vessels to ensure that this can be achieved. There will be no towed gear as part of this survey. 

 

The Zenith and Quest (operated by Fugro) will commence operations on 6th April and 25th April, respectively, for a duration of 207 survey days. To account for weather delays and other eventualities, we would like to extend the validity of this notice until 30 November 2026. 

 

The guard vessel will be either the Tranquillity S or the Reaper alternating approximately every 21 days

Ramform Vanguard will be carrying out geophysical survey works at Awel y Môr Offshore Wind Farm from 25th May until 25th July 2026. These dates are subject to weather and sea conditions.


Mariners are requested to observe a safe working distance of 1000m when the Ramform Vanguard is performing towed survey activities at Awel y Môr Offshore Wind Farm. It is also requested that mariners observe a distance of at least 500m when Ramform Vanguard is manoeuvring into position for the safety of all sea users operating within the wind farm, and to ensure Ramform Vanguard can safely position itself without negative interactions with sea users or their equipment. The towed equipment extends approximately 350m behind the stern.

UXO Disposal phase - East Anglia 2



OEG will be returning to EA2 to conduct disposals of positively identified UXO's. These works are expected to begin on 5th April and continue until Mid June, date TBC. During this time the Northern Victoria will carry out Archaeology and debris relocations, fish net recovery/relocations and UXO disposals.


During OEG's return scope on EA2 with the Northern Victoria the vessel will be carryong out the following scopes...

Archaeology relocations

There is a total of 23 archaeology targets to be relocated. Of these several will be recovered to deck for further investigation and recording prior to being relocated in new position on seabed. 

This scope will be carried out between 17th April and approx 30th April. 

EOD disposals 

There is a total of 23 confirmed UXOs that are to be disposed of using Low Order techniques. No Height Order disposal will be carried out. Security broadcasts will be made at certain times around disposals to all vessels in the area to keep their distance. 

This will be carried out between approx 1st May and July 2026

OEG is required to conduct noise monitoring of the first 10 UXO Low Order deflagrations. To ensure that OEG abides by consents documentation the noise monitoring placements have been put in to x3 groups.

A total of 52 ites of debris are to be relocated following the above disposal scope and fishing net recovery. This will be carried out out using combination of orange peel grab, ROV and ROV/SMT.

Application of Triton Knoll Wind Farm Safety Zones During Construction

The Secretary of State has granted the Application of Safety Zones on the Triton Knoll Wind Farm Project as follows:

  • 500m “rolling” safety zones around any structure where construction is being undertaken (as indicated by the presence of construction vessels).
  • 50m pre-commissioning safety zones surrounding partial structures or completed structures prior to commissioning.

Mariners are advised that all foundations monopiles have been installed and all inter-array and export cables have been installed.

Navigation Warning - 08th January 2021

Mariners are advised that the remnants of a Wave Rider Buoy sinker weight and partial rigging are located within the Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm Construction site at the following location;

53° 30.442N 000° 50.564E

It is advised that the partial rigging could potentially be floating up to 9.7m above the seabed, reducing the navigable safe water in the immediate area to 10m LAT.  Mariners are advised to avoid the indicated position by 250 metres.

Possible Dangers to Navigation - Properties of the polypropylene show that the rope is buoyant, this makes the line sensitive for thruster currents. Taking the site water depth into consideration (19.7m LAT) and the maximum expected height above seabed of the rope 9.7m the line is expected to be floating submerged at approximately -10m LAT. In addition, it is noted that over time sediments will be trapped between the fibres and the heavier rope may finally sink. The polypropylene rope may impose a risk to foul propellers / propulsion of vessels due to the buoyant nature of the rope. As the rope is submerged at a depth of ~-10m LAT the risk is considered minimum for vessels with a shallow draught (<5m) and medium for a vessel with a deeper draught (>5m). Over time sediments will be trapped between the fibres and the heavier rope may finally sink thereby reducing the risk to propellers/propulsion of vessels. The clump weight itself (chain) is expected to have sunk into the seabed and has no significant height above seabed. In addition, the edges of the clump weight are mostly rounded (chain), the risk the clump weigh imposes to fishing activities/gear is therefore considered to be minimal.

Mariners are advised that two UXO targets have been confirmed within the Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm Array.

Mariners are advised that the two confirmed targets are located within 20 metres water depth (LAT) and a 10 metre radius exclusion zone is required around each target.  The following table provides the coordinates and a description for each target.

Operation of remotely piloted Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) are planned in the UK and Danish North Sea sectors, from mid-May 2026. The vessels will be engaged in survey activities between Hunmanby Gap, UK and Henne Strand, Denmark on behalf of Woodstock Cable Limited.


Activity:

Operation of remotely piloted Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) are planned in the UK and Danish North Sea sectors, from mid-May 2026. The vessels will be engaged in survey activities between Hunmanby Gap, UK and Henne Strand, Denmark on behalf of Woodstock Cable Limited.

Dates & Duration:

Survey operations are expected to commence from 13th May 2026 for approximately 4 months, subject to weather and other operational factors.

 Location:

The survey area comprises an approximate 300m wide survey corridor between Hunmanby Gap, UK and Henne Strand, Denmark. The USV is expected to be operating within +/- 150m of the centreline route. In addition to the survey area, the USVs will transit from/to the ports of Scarborough, UK, Esbjerg, Denmark & Hvide Sande, Denmark.

Vessels:

It is expected there will be up to four USV operational at any one time. Vessels will be a combination of XOCEAN’s XO-450 & XO-580 class USV’s. 

Mode of Operation:

Although the USV are uncrewed, they are managed throughout the 24 hour operation, piloted remotely using 360 degree cameras and other navigational aids. The USV sends real time images and situational awareness data over satellite to a team of operators keeping watch and controlling the vessel remotely 24/7. A support vessel will escort the USV from the active ports to clear water. Seafarers are asked to avoid contact with the vessel and be aware of the operational area during this period. 

Safety Precautions: The USV is equipped with the following to make it conspicuous to other marine traffic:

Dogger Bank A and DBB Boundary Buoy As-Installed Locations



This notice describes the current Dogger Bank A and B boundary demarcation buoys in the Southern North Sea


A total of 32 construction boundary demarcation buoys will remain in location until the windfarm construction activities have been completed and handed over to the Operations and Maintenance teams.

Once the permanent Aids to Navigation (AtoN) have been installed on the WTGs, Trinity House will approve the permanent AtoN and the boundary buoys will be removed.

If anyone finds a buoy that is off station or encounters a buoy location where it is not functioning or is missing, they should report this to the Dogger Bank Duty Marine Coordinator as soon as possible.

Work DescriptionDuring operations the CBS Hurricane vessel will be restricted in their ability to manoeuvre due to ROV and Diving operations taking place. Whilst operations will seek to minimise disruption on the width ofthe main navigation channel, some disruption may be unavoidable during operations within the working corridor.

Operations will be conducted over 12 hours and are weather/tide dependent.

Should any vessel wish to come within 500m of the vessels, then direct communication with the Master / Operator is required. Vessels will display the appropriate lights/day shapes for their operations.

WTG Foundation Monopile Installation - Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm



All mariners and stakeholders are advised that WTG foundation monopile installation activities will commence within the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm.


On behalf of Inch Cape Wind Ltd. Jan de Nul will commence the installation of wind turbine generator foundation monopiles. The monopile components will be transported from the Port of Leith to the Inch Cape site and installed at 54 locations within the wind farm boundary.

The installation vessel Les Alizes is expected to arrive at Inch Cape to commence operations on or around the 25th of December. Each monopile will be installed with a lit temporary navigation structure, the light shall exhibit Flashing (Fl) Yellow (Y) 2.5 seconds (s) 

Monopile installation is expected to continue until June 2026.

Operation of remotely piloted Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) are planned in the southern North Sea, UK, during April and May 2026. The vessels will be engaged in survey activities on behalf of Sheringham Shoal and Dudgeon Extensions ProjCo Limited in the nearshore area of Sheringham (0-12 LAT) as outlined in Figure 1. It is expected there will be two USVs operational at any one time. Spectrum Vessel Service Limited in Conjunction with Atlantas Marine specialist ROV operators to conduct survey of the Gwynt Y Mor Windfarm Sub-station


The GVI survey shall evaluate the extent of corrosion, identify any damage and assess the overall integrity of the primary and secondarysteelwork elements, covering the following jacket segments and other structural components: • Jacket members in splash zone • Allhorizontal, vertical, diagonal structural members • Installed Galvanic anodes • Structural clamps and connections • Mud mat and leg pilescour All items and components/elements below are to be covered under the scope of this survey: • Corrosion damage in terms of wearand rust • Localised corrosion damage in terms of pitting holes and major cracks • Member severance or missing members • Memberbuckling • Member denting or any other plastic deformation

• Inspection of all J tubes and risers • Partial or full detachment of anode–cast system from the structure • Missing or damaged anodes •Presence of debris trapped within the structural members of the foundation • Evidence of scour around the foundations and/or J tubes •Evident excessive marine growth attached to the structure • Gross paint coating damage; flaking, blistering, etc. in the painted tubularmembers (where possible due to the expected attachment of marine growth) The inspection of the selected areas shall include but not belimited to the following checks: • Gross extent of fatigue damage. • Visual signs of surface breaking cracks initiation and growth. • Lengthof surface–breaking fatigue cracks

Component Exchange - Humber Gateway



Mariners are advised that the WIND PIONEER will be carrying out main component exchanges at the Humber Gateway Offshore Wind Farm from 27th April 2025 until approximately 03rd May 2026. These dates are subject to weather and sea conditions.


Mariners and their equipment are requested to observe a safe working distance of 500m from the specified infrastructure locations (table below) at all times for the duration of the project, unless otherwise communicated by Humber Gateway.

Notice is hereby given that Westermost Rough Limited (company number 06232914), with registered offices at 5 Howick Place, London, England, SW1P 1WG have applied for consent from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero as set out in the Energy Act 2004 and the Electricity (Offshore Generating Stations) (Safety Zones) (Application Procedures and Control of Access) Regulations 2007 (SI No 2007/1948) for safety zones for the operational Westermost Rough Offshore Wind Farm during periods of major maintenance.

Balance Of Plant Asset Surveys - Moray West



This is to raise awareness that as part of the annual operations and maintenance of assets, asset inspection surveys will be taking place within the Moray Offshore Windfarm (West) Limited (Moray West) site.


Balance of Plant (BoP) operations will be carried out by the DP2 vessel, Voe Vanguard which is expected to arrive at the Moray West site 6th May 2026. General visual inspection, via ROV deployment, of the asset foundations will be carried out on all 60 WTGs, with the inspection period covering approximately 16 days (12 days work and a contingency for weather downtime). Works will take place within the Moray West red boundary (Figure 1) and are scheduled to occur on a continuous 24-hour basis.

SSEN Transmission and National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) are working together to address the need for increased capacity within the transmission network between Scotland and England. EGL5 will help provide increased capacity, carrying up to 2 GW of electricity, enough for two million homes. This will be achieved through a High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) cable connection between Aberdeenshire and Lincolnshire.

The EGL 5 geophysical survey works are being carried out by Ocean Infinity Limited.

Cable Route Metocean Instrumentation Deployment - Morven Wind Farm



This Notice to Mariners (NtM) is to confirm that the metocean monitoring campaign (and as described in Morven_NtM 007_v02 Cable Route_ Metocean Intrumentation_ Deployment) planned to commence in February 2025 was cancelled and no equipment has been deployed.


The metocean instrumentation was intended to be deployed at 4 locations along the proposed Morven wind farm export cable route. The now cancelled deployment locations are shown in Section 2 with charts included in Section 3.  Equipment associated with this survey included seabed frames, metocean instrumentation, ground lines and secondary anchor weights.

Eastern Green Link 1 pUXO Survey Works



Mariners are advised about survey works at the EGL1 corridor being undertaken for Eastern Green link 1 which is an HVDC electricity transmission interconnector between England and Scotland, a joint venture between National Grid and Scottish Power. The work being undertaken is a pUXO (potential unexploded ordnance) target identification campaign.


The works, managed by Prysmian are expected to start on or around the 1st May 2026 and are expected to last 31 days, with a completion date around the 31st May 2026 (weather dependent).  Vessels, when transiting are requested to pass at a safe speed and distance, and fishing vessels are advised to remain at a safe distance of at least 500m from the vessels identified. Survey works will be ongoing and during the works the vessel Scheldeoord will have restricted maneuverability as they complete their work scopes, which includes vessel mounted excavator operations The vessels during this works will not be towing any survey equipment. The Communication between the vessels will be through CH67 & 72. VHF CH 16 will be monitored at all times and will be used to contact the coastguard in the event of an emergency.

Grampian Eagle Platform Supply Vessel - East Anglia Three



Please be advised that the Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) ‘GRAMPIAN EAGLE’ is expected to mobilise from the port of Lowestoft circa 19/04/2026. Earliest arrival at East Anglia THREE site circa 20/04/2026.


The CSOV ‘GRAMPIAN EAGLE’ will provide accommodation and Walk-to-Work access during the commissioning phase of the East Anglia THREE Offshore Converter station (OFCS).  

‘GRAMPIAN EAGLE’ will perform crew transfers and deliver supplies to the East Anglia THREE Offshore Converter station (OFCS)  and the jack-up vessel ‘JB 120’ (as long as installed next to the OFCS). 

‘GRAMPIAN EAGLE’ will make regular transits between the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm and the port of Lowestoft (UK). The vessel is equipped with VHF multi-channel radios and mobile phones. 

It is currently anticipated that weather permitting, operations will be carried out on a continuous basis (i.e. weekly, bi-weekly, on request) for the duration of circa 2.5 months. Crew change will be carried out every 14 days either by helicopter, CTV or port call. 

Completion of works will be notified by closure of this notice to mariners, weekly updates of vessel movements will be notified via EA3 Weekly Notice Of Operations.

Reach Subsea UK LTD are conducting a survey campaign on behalf of Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission Plc. Trading as Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks Transmission (SSENT). SSEN Transmission plan to commence the marine survey inside 12nm on 28th March 2026.  The survey equipment will consist of Multi Beam Echo Sounder (MBES), Side Scan Sonar (SSS), Sub-Bottom Profiler (SBP), Magnetometer, Benthic grabs, Vibrocores and Core Penetration Tests across 2 different vessels that will likely be no further inshore than 15m LAT. The survey equipment will also require calibration testing, which may be conducted outwith the survey corridor.

Marine Mammal Monitoring-Passive Acoustic Monitoring Stations - East Anglia Three Offshore Windfarm



Please be advised that Seiche Limited have performed a service on the Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) Stations that have been deployed on the seabed, in and at locations around the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm Area. Two PAM stations have been re-deployed with surface buoys


A service has been completed on the Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) Stations that have been deployed on the seabed, in and at locations around the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm Area.  A total of eleven PAM stations have been re-deployed, two of which are marked by surface buoys. 

The PAM stations will remain on the seabed until approximately 31/10/2027, 9 deployed PAM stations have a 12 m height above the seabed, a weight of 600 kg and their location is not marked by a surface buoy. Two deployed PAM stations are marked by surface buoys, each anchored to the seabed by two 2 tonne anchor mooring weights.

 

The PAM stations will be serviced periodically with information distributed via future Notice to Mariners. There is an exclusion zone of 250m around each PAM Station, Marine traffic is advised to maintain the safety zone and navigate with caution at all times.

Inter Array Cable Installation - East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm



Mariners are advised that cable laying activities are being carried out by CLV Seaway Phoenix within the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm, the vessel is laying inter array cables between WTGs and the East Anglia THREE Offshore converter station (OFCS). Additional Vessels ‘Grand Canyon 3’ & ‘Windea Clausius’ will mobilise and join the project circa the 27/02/2026.


Cable laying operations will continue to be conducted within the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm by CLV Seaway Phoenix. The vessels will install subsea cables between WTGs and the Offshore Converter Station (OFCS). The Grand Canyon 3 will conduct trenching and burial operations supporting the Cable-Laying operation. During cable deployment, trenching & burial, both the vessels will be restricted in their ability to manoeuvre.The Seaway Phoenix will carry out cable laying activities, and be supported by the Seaway Moxie & Windea Clausius, which will both undertake equipment and personnel transfers to WTGs and the OFCS via a Walk to Work (W2W) gangway system. While conducting these transfers, the Seaway Moxie & Windea Clausius will also be restricted in manoeuvrability.

Accidental Deposit of an Object at Sea - Seabed Frame



Seabed Frame unable to be recovered from deployed location - risk of snagging, alert to all marine users.


During recovery operations following completion of metocean data collection at the Muir Mhor site, the seabed frame was unable to be recovered. Seabed frame recovery was not possible due to transponder onboard vessel being unable to make a connection with acoustic receiver on the seabed frame. It is not yet confirmed whether the seabed frame is in the deployed location and is simply damaged, or whether it has been moved.

Last known location of the seabed frame is the deployed location as per coordinates given in this notice.

Report has been made to Marine Directorate on 22/07/2025. Further updates on recovery will be posted to a separate notice (ID-5431).

Please be aware that, during the survey activities, by virtue of its mode of operation the vessel (Voe Vanguard) will be Restricted in her Ability to Manoeuvre (RAM) as defined under COLREGs (International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972, Rule 3). Masters of vessels are therefore requested to maintain their vessels and gears at a minimum safe passing distance from the vessel of 500 metres when it is undertaking work and showing the appropriate shapes and lights in accordance with COLREGs Rule 27.In order to not compromise the safety of the Survey Vessel, their crew, and their ability to undertake its contracted works, fishermen who have static fishing gears deployed within 500 m from the WTG where survey activities are planned (see Table 1 and Figure 1) are requested to provide the coordinates of such deployed gears in DMS and details of whether the surface markers used are visible at all states of visibility to Alex Winrow-Griffin (Brown & May Marine) using the contact information below (Section 58 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995).Fishermen who have static gears deployed beyond 12 nm are reminded that static gear must be marked in accordance with Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 404/2011 (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/marking-of-fishing-gear-retrieval-and-notification-of-lost-gear#marking-of-fishing-gear)

Survey operations will be carried out by the Geosurveyor XI which is expected to be on site from 15th April to 25th May 2026. The survey will take place within the red boundary in Figure 1.The geophysical survey scope will include Multibeam Echosounder (MBES), Side Scan Sonar (SSS) of a maximum of 50 m width at 22 inter-array cables and 2 interconnector cables, and a 300m2 area around 30 WTGs and 3 OSP locations. The coordinates of the work site boundary are presented in the below Table 1 and shown in Figure 1.

BOP Surveys - Moray Offshore Windfarm (West) Limited (Moray West) site



This is to raise awareness that as part of the annual operations and maintenance of assets, geophysical surveys will be taking place within the Moray Offshore Windfarm (West) Limited (Moray West) site.


Survey operations will be carried out by the Geosurveyor XI which is expected to arrive at the Moray West site 16th April. Geophysical surveys are programmed to be carried out along the Moray West Offshore Export Cable (OEC) on 17th-18th April. The vessel will then proceed to Moray East to survey the windfarm assets, before returning to the Moray West site to complete the geophysical surveys across the rest of the site (around turbines and inter array cables).

 

The geophysical surveys within the OEC are anticipated to take one day and will be carried out during daylight hours only. Survey operations within the OEC will be able to work around any fishing gear sighted from the vessel. It is anticipated that the vessel will resume work on the Moray West site on approximately 3rd May, with the survey period covering approximately 38 days (16 days of work and a contingency for weather downtime/ delays on Moray East). Works within the Moray West red boundary (Figure 1) will take place throughout a 24-hour period.

Wind Turbine Generator Commissioning Campaign - East Anglia THREE offshore windfarm



Mariners are advised that the Commissioning “Walk to Work” (W2W) Vessel IWS Windwalker and supporting Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) Fob Swath 6 and Fob Swath 7 will commence Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) commissioning operations within the East Anglia THREE offshore windfarm area circa the 18/03/2026. Operations will be conducted by Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE). The main working area will be as detailed in Attached EAT NTM 008-2026 Wind Turbine Generator Commissioning Campaign.


IWS Windwalker and supporting CTVs will commission 95 WTGs at the locations set out in section 2.2 ofEAT NTM 008-2026 Wind Turbine Generator Commissioning Campaign.Installed WTGs shall be marked with the following aids to navigation:LightsFl Y 2.5s light (visible through 360°)Minimum 2 nm range

SubSea Soundscape Project - Celtic Sea



21x scientific seabed passive acoustic monitoring systems are currently deployed across the UK Celtic Sea area. Servicing of the acoustic monitoring stations will take place from week commencing 30/03/2026, subject to weather conditions. Units are fully subsurface with no surface markers. Mariners should exercise caution during operations and avoid trawling or seabed gear deployment near positions. Mariners are advised to exercise caution in the vicinity during active operations.


*Servicing Operations

Servicing of the acoustic monitoring stations will take place from week commencing 30 March 2026, subject to weather conditions.

Operations will involve service vessels working at or near station positions for short durations during suitable weather windows.

Mariners are advised to exercise caution in the vicinity of these positions during active operations.

Some primary aims of the SubSea Soundscape project are;

To support a new Marine mammal evidence base for the Celtic Sea.

To create a region wide acoustic soundscape model and open-source baseline acoustic data of the Celtic Sea integrating new S3 data and other secured acoustic data sources.

To Co-develop road maps for the use of acoustic soundscape models for consenting.

Navigation Advice

Equipment is fully subsurface and presents no hazard to surface navigation.

Trawling, dredging, or seabed gear deployment in the vicinity of marked positions could be avoided to reduce risk of entanglement or equipment damage.

Total vertical height of unit: approx. 5 m above seabed.

Minimum clearance above highest point: 55 m in shallowest locations. 

Each acoustic monitoring system will comprise: 

• Acoustic release system

• Fish tag detection system (69 kHz)

• Broadband hydrophone and cetacean click-train logger

• Mooring frame with integrated components

Seabed Preparation - Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm and export cable corridor



All mariners and stakeholders are advised that seabed preparation activities will continue within the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm and export cable corridor. N-Sea Pathfinder will join the boulder relocation works.


On behalf of Inch Cape Offshore Ltd, N-Sea will continue seabed preparation activities within the wind farm site boundary and its export cable corridor. Boulder clearance will focus on the wind farm site and the export cable 2 route. 

Seabed preparation includes the relocation of any boulders which may affect the installation of offshore structures, inter-array cables and export cables.

The boulder relocation vessel, FS Aries will be joined by N-Sea Pathfinder on or around Wednesday the 19th of March.

Boundary Buoy Installation As Laid - Dogger Bank C Offshore Wind Farm



The Trinity House Buoy Installation Vessel, Galatea, has installed the Dogger Bank C boundary demarcation buoys in the Southern North Sea.


The 17 construction boundary demarcation buoys will remain in location until the windfarm construction activities have been completed and handed over to the Operations and Maintenance teams.

Once the permanent Aids to Navigation (AtoN) have been installed on the WTGs, Trinity House will approve the permanent AtoN and the boundary buoys will be removed.

If anyone finds a buoy that is off station or encounters a buoy location where it is not functioning or is missing, they should report this to the Dogger Bank Duty Marine Coordinator as soon as possible.

Foundation Transition Piece Installation - Inch Cape site boundary



All mariners and stakeholders are advised that WTG foundation transition piece installation activities shall commence within the Inch Cape site boundary.


On behalf of Inch Cape Offshore Ltd, Seaway 7 shall commence the installation of 54 WTG foundation transition piece components.

 

The transition pieces will be transported from the Port of Leith to the Inch Cape site and installed by the heavy lift vessel Seaway Alfa Lift.

 

Alfa Lift is expected to arrive at the Inch Cape site on or around the 17th of March to commence installation which will continue for several months, further details are in the attached notice to mariners.

EA3 Offshore Windfarm NTM-007/2026 Wind Turbine Generator Installation Campaign.



Mariners are advised that the Jack Up Vessels Wind Osprey and Wind Pace will commence Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) installation operations within the East Anglia THREE offshore windfarm area. Marine operations will be conducted by Cadeler A/S and construction operations by Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE). The main working area will be inside the CDM Zone of the wind farm array.

Exposed Export Cable - Vattenfall Offshore Wind Farm



During a routine inspection of the export cables (ECR A & ECR B) , two sections of the cables were found to be partially exposed through the boulder field. This may constitute a hazard to activities such as fishing and anchoring


It is requested that mariners avoid activities which are likely to disturb the seabed within a 500m Radius of this location until the exposed export cable has been re-investigated. A further Notice to Mariners will be issued to confirm the course of action we will be taking to rectify this. Please note that the standard safety rules apply when fishing in or near wind farms and associated cables. All mariners are requested to make themselves aware of their obligations for conducting activities over buried and protected cables under International and UK Cable (Sub-sea) Protection Legislation. 

Mariners are reminded to navigate with caution and keep continued watch on VHF Ch. 12 / 16 when navigating the area. The Marine Coordination Centre will be responsible for monitoring and policing the Safety Zone and can be contacted directly for advice. Acoustic Monitor Array Deployment - Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm



All mariners and stakeholders are advised that a Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) mooring array for the purpose of monitoring marine mammals’ detections has been serviced and redeployed along the east coast of Scotland, within 2 km of the coast, between St Andrews Bay and Inverbervie.


All mariners and stakeholders are advised that a Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) mooring array for the purpose of monitoring marine mammals’ detections is currently deployed along the east coast of Scotland, within 2 km of the coast, between St Andrews Bay and Inverbervie.

The PAM array will remain in situ for 2 years (i.e. up to August 2027) with a service interval every 3 months. The moorings will not be surface marked as the top of the mooring extends approximately 4-7m above the seabed.

 During a servicing trip on Saturday 21st February, an item has been dropped to the sea during the recovery of the Passive Acoustic Monitoring mooring at Carnoustie, coordinates shown in the attached notice to mariners.

One PAM mooring was redeployed during the service trip on 21 February 2026, locations and coordinates for the passive acoustic monitors currently in place are shown in the attached notice to mariners.

UXO ID operations - Vanguard East Export Cable Route and Offshore Array



UXOControl B.V. will be carrying out UXO Identification operations within the Vanguard East Export Cable Route and Offshore Array location detailed below using the Multi Purpose Offshore Support Vessel Aquarius G complete with Work Class ROV System. The DP2 vessel will be operating through the location, but will remain in position when the ROV is deployed for UXO identification. Only once a location has been finished will the vessel move to the next point.

Dogger Bank B WTG Installation



The Jack-up WTG Installation Vessel, Voltaire, will install wind turbine generators (WTG) within the Dogger Bank B construction area.


The works will commence around the 21st of February 2026 continuing until approximately Q2 2027.  The works will be continuous, 24 hours a day.  A chart of the DBB construction area boundary coordinates and a table of WTG location coordinates is provided below. A running list of the completed WTG installations and the next locations to be installed is presented in the Weekly Notice of Operations.

During operations, the Voltaire will be restricted in its ability to manoeuvre as defined under COLREGs (International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972) and will display the appropriate day shapes and lights. The vessel will also transmit an Automatic Identification System (AIS) message. 

During operations, a Statutory Safety zone of 500m radius will be in place around the Voltaire during the installation of WTGs

Wave Rider Buoy - East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm



Mariners are advised that Seaway 7 have deployed a Wave Rider Buoy within the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm Area


Seaway 7 deployed a Wave Rider Buoy on the 01/05/2025 within the boundary of the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm Array during the Monopile Noise monitoring campaign as referenced in EA3 NTM 026 - 2025 Monopile Installation (Noise Monitoring Buoy Deployment). The Wave rider Buoy will remain on station until the end of the project.

The Wave Rider Buoy is equipped with a flashing yellow light and has a range of four nautical miles.

Recovery and/or periodic maintenance of the Wave Rider Buoy will be notified via future Notice to Mariners

Please be advised that Partrac Ltd have completed maintenance on the Northern weather monitoring buoy, installed within the East Anglia Three Offshore Wind Farm Area.


Positions for both North & South weather buoys are identified in the attached Notice To Mariners 005 -2025. There will be periodic maintenance for both weather buoys during construction of EA3.

 

There is an exclusion zone of 100m around the weather buoys, mariners are  advised to abide by the 100m safety zone and navigate with caution at all times.

MP/TP Bolting and Grouting - East Anglia THREE offshore windfarm



After each TP has been installed by the Jack-up Vessel (JUV), Seaway Ventus, Contractor shall perform the TP Completions Scope with the Norside Supporter (CSV), with a delayed start from Seaway Ventus. CSV shall operate on a single 12-hour shift for the duration of the project. ETA For works is Circa 25/04/2025.Bolting and Grouting operations will be conducted by the Norside Supporter within the East Anglia THREE offshore windfarm area.

Mariners are advised that North Falls Offshore Wind Farm (NFOWF) will undertake a metocean survey within the Wind Turbine Array Area


OverviewMariners are advised that North Falls Offshore Wind Farm (NFOWF) will undertake a metocean survey within the Wind Turbine Array Area, at the Primary and Secondary locations shown in Table 1 and Figure 2.

Survey Duration Mobilisation will commence on or after 18 February 2026, with the metocean survey lasting between 12 and 18months. The planned survey end date will be no later than 16 August 2027.

Survey Tasks The metocean survey work is being undertaken by Partrac, who will use the vessel CT Vector to deploy the metocean equipment at the Primary and Secondary locations shown in Table 1 and Figure 2. It is expected that the deployment operation will last for one day.

The metocean equipment will consist of one seabed frame deployed at each location (i.e., a total of two seabed frames). Each seabed frame will be equipped with an acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) and additional sensors (temperature sensor, water-level sensor, and turbidity sensor). Each seabed frame will be connected to a clump weight, with approximately 100 m leaded polypropylene ground line between the seabed frame and clump weight.

As a consequence of equipment being deployed, all mariners are advised to keep a safe clearance distance of no less than 500 m from the deployment vessel and metocean equipment deployment locations. No towed survey equipment will be deployed from the vessel.

Demarcation / Met-Ocean Buoys - Sofia Offshore Wind Farm



All Mariners are advised that a service campaign on the infield Demarcation & Met-Ocean Buoys of the SOWF array site is still to commence (vessels still to be confirmed). Mariners are advised of Seabed Met-Ocean Buoy Moorings that remain in place at SOWF (Excluding Buoy) and are yet to be recovered. Note: these locations are to be avoided by at least 200m.


Vessels shall be monitoring channel VHF 16 and shall be displaying the relevant day shapes / night lights when restricted in its ability to manoeuvre.

Mariners are requested to refrain from entering and transiting through the construction area as demarcated by these demarcation buoys. 

The table below provides a summary of each Cardinal and Special Mark Buoy deployed at the SOWF array, including target coordinates in WGS84 Degrees Decimal Minutes and a description of top mark and lantern characteristics. The Demarcation Buoys will be deployed for a period of approximately three years.

Dogger Bank C Maintenance and Asset Preservation



The Service Operational Vessel, IWS Sun Walker, will carry out Balance of Plant (BoP) and Asset Preservation operations within Dogger Bank C construction site.


The works will be performed in a single campaign, commencing on the 7th of December 2025 and continuing until approximately Q4 2026. The works will be continuous, 24 hours a day. The operations will include visual inspections and remedial maintenance at the Offshore Substation Platform (OSP) and at installed WTG foundation locations. During operations, the IWS Sun Walker will be restricted in its ability to manoeuvre as defined under COLREGs (International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972) and will display the appropriate day shapes and lights. The vessel will also transmit an Automatic Identification System (AIS) message. It is requested that all vessels maintain a minimum of 500m separation distance from the SOV and pass at reduced speed. Fishing gear or other equipment with seabed intervention should not be deployed when approaching the working area.
